A rare example of blue and white Meiping, decorated with five claws powerfully Dragon among clouds to chasing flaming pearl above waves and rocks to the lower part, all painted in brilliant cobalt-blue tone. Ming dynasty Xuande period. Condition of the vase were broken defect without missing pieces with almost completed pieces then re-glued and chips. Height : 37 cm. Please compare to the drawing of Dragon Jar in Metropolitan Museum of Art which dating Xuande mark and of the period.

I have seen weapons such as this one described as everything from ancient Roman, Celtic and Chinese to medieval and on and on. Though I have been unable to find much in the way of references, I am fairly certain that this spear and others like it are ceremonial polearms from the Qing Dynasty. They are most likely 18th or 19th century. They have crudely decorated brass collars between the socket and blade. This one and the three others I have listed are in good condition with no signs of repair...

19th century or earlier Japanese sword set of fuchi (bordering piece between the sword guard and the handle) and kashira (metal pommel at the end of the hilt of a sword) with design of flowering prunus branches issuing from an old tree stump. Silver inlays and gilding (wear), finely textured ground called nanako, which means “fish-eggs” as it resembles fine rows of caviar. Kashira length 1.32 inches, fuchi length 1.5 inches.

An oval and domed porcelain plaque with enamelled flowers in a gilt and Bleu Céleste framework. The ”heavenly blue” colour was a speciality for Sevres in the 18th century and revived in the 19th during the reign of Napoléon III. The gilt flower wreath is tooled, to show the texture of the little flower petals, and the large flower motif is excellently painted. The plaque was made in the late 19th century and probably intended for an ormolu wall sconce...

Up for sale is a framed Chinese pictorial wall hanging with story from the Chinese Three Kingdoms; very intricate embroidery executed in Chinese weaving Kesi / Kossu; intricate and in excellent condition; vibrant colors.

This plain pot metal vessel was used to contain hair oil during the reign of Chinese Emperor Daoquang about 1850. Standing about 6 inches high and 3.5 inches diameter at the widest point, a woman would dip her comb into the oil before combing her hair. I do have an identical matched pair of these but am selling them separately.

If one look at the details of this rare chrysanthemum shape dish this piece seems to be carved like we know this from jade pieces. Excavated together with Song Dynasty ceramic pieces and shards in Indonesia. Song Dynasty or earlier. Diameter 8,5 cm.

Originally part of a full sized Tibetan adult costume, this piece was cut down to complete a childs festival costume. Decorated with turquoise, coins, tassels and silver ornaments, this type of textile accessory would often be attached to the elaborate headdress or hat and drape down the back to complete the wearers costume. The Tibetan people are not wastefull and items of festival garments in any condition are hard to acquire. I have had it hanging on my wall for a number of years...

This is a beautifully embroidered Chinese silk fan case, done almost entirely in the Peking knot technique, sometimes called "blind stitch." Both sides of the piece have been embroidered. Areas of the decoration have been skillfully raised to create a "3-D" effect. The embroidery is in exceptional, unfaded condition. An impressive magnifying glass with a carved ivory handle with 18 natural red coral beads. We believe the ivory handle to be a Meiji period Japanese parasol handle and sometime in its history converted to a magnifying glass. In very good antique condition with all beads intact, the handle measures 5 inches x 1 1/8". Magnifying glass with handle is 10.5 inches long.

1920's Chinese 22K Gold & Jadeite Carved Plaque Bracelet with Calligraphy Marked

It is 6.4 inches (16.2 cm) in inner circumference by 2.2 inches (5.6 cm) in inner diameter. The gold calligraphy plaque 0.5 inch (1.2 cm) long by 0.55 inch (1.4 cm) wide. The jadeite plaques range from 10.4 mm to 11.8 mm long by 9.1 mm to 9.65 mm wide. It weighs 17.8 gram.

Three elongated light blue plaques mounted in antique brass bow frames with screw-on backs. The plagues measure about 2" wide x 3" high, and are in excellent condition. The brass frames measure about 2 1/2" wide by 5 3/4" tall and are also in excellent condition.
