Antique Japanese idoguruma (well pulley) made of Oribe ware ceramic. Glazed with traditional Oribe brown floral motifs and green drips on a buff color ground. The pulley wheel is attached to it's original keyaki (elm) wood frame. Wonderful age and patina.

A Song/Yuan Qingbai Jar with Four Lugs. Height approximately 9 cm and diameter approximately 10.6 cm. Decorated with flowers, plants, a band of bottons and curve lines. Few crackles glaze at the jar. Few hairlines around the base. A firing crack below the shoulder. Good condition.

Netsuke – A lovely model of boxwood group of chestnuts, one of which reveals the passage of a small worm, in carved bone. Pair Chinese green glazed ceramic storage jar with a globular body. The interiors are also glazed as well as isthe inside of the lids. Embossed CHINA on the bottom, we date them circa 1900. In good condition, one lid is damaged, see last photo, but it is glazed over with a clear glaze, so it was fired this way. Measures 7.5 inches high including lid, 7 inches diameter.

Antique Japanese tsuba done in the finest craftsmanship. Made of iron with extensive shakudo nanako plate overall and with many gold blossoms. A motif of very detailed chrysanthemums densely covers both sides of the tsuba. The view in general would be titled, "Kikka Senpi zu" or Chrysanthemums in full bloom. Age: Possibly Momoyama Period. Antique Korean herbalist's medicine chest. Standing on low feet, this chest has 51 drawers and a small compartment at the very bottom opened by sliders. Each drawer is labeled in Korean and has a small metal ring for a drawer pull. The inside of the drawers are divided into two sections.

Unusual natural Antique Japanese burlwood container. Great for storing small items. Original condition and warm finish. Meiji period 1868-1912. It measures 14" wide 10" deep 6" tall.

This is an exceptionally well carved mask, dating, most probably, to the early 20th century. The artist who created this mask has invested it with a powerful and menacing presence, as the photos will, hopefully, show. The piece measures just over 11 inches in width and is intact, carved from a single tree fungus. A rare and powerful survival.
