A fine root wood figure depicting an aged Daoist Immortal, holding a ruyi scepter in one hand and standing on a high rock surrounded by waves in an imaginary sea . A sweetmeat dish consisting of 1 central hexagonal dish surrounded by 6 fan-shaped dishes. Each dish has a straight side and is decorated in the center with one of the seven gods of good fortune, shichifukujin in overglaze enamels and gold on cream colored stoneware. In his hands he holds a branch of the asoka tree, a sword, bow and arrows. The carving is slightly abstracted, but nevertheless full of detail...

Modeled in the Chinese style, this baluster vase is fitted with elephant head handles on the neck and is decorated in three registers, the largest of which displays four dragons in low-relief over a diamond diaper ground. Various floral and bird designs decorate the lower registers. Extensive verdigris covers the surface as well as the interior and the base as a result of use as a garden ornament. There are no damages or repairs.

Small shrine with the sculpture of Kishimojin, the hands folded in prayer. Plain wood with nice patina, the pupils painted black. On the back inscription in black ink. On the right door of the case inscription in black ink: Angyo Kishimosonjin, the name of the temple and the donor. The inscription on the back of the sculpture is partly the same, indicating that sculpture and case came together. Japan, early 19th century.

Chinese Export Cafe au Lait Porcelain Tea pot, made later part of Qianlong period 1736-1796, 5" high with knob, 7 1/2" wide with spout and handle included. Iron red and black overglaze decoration of flowering branches highlighted in gold inside the leaf shape open cartouches on both sides and another smaller cartouches under the handle. Only two(2) small very shallow old frits, the size of 1/8" inside the unglazed area of the top rim.
This is an excellent quality authentic antique Russian Orthodox blessing Cross from the 18th-19th century. It is made of brass and adorned with beautiful blue enamel. The upper part of the cross features the Holy Face and two angels, with the sun and moon at the ends of the central bar. The main bar is richly decorated with Cyrillic inscriptions and a prayer text under Christ's arms.
