Offered is a delightful trio of 19th century, Horn, Apothecary Pharmacy Powder or Tablet Scoops. These tools of the trade were made in three different sizes ranging from nearly 5 inches long to 5.75 inches long.
These interesting pharmacy implements have a warm honey translucent tone and are complemented by a natural brownish color which is especially noted in the largest scoop. They were most likely made from cow horn as was typical of the period...

A clear glass scent bottle of profiled shape, mouth blown in a mold, the white enamel decoration underlining the contours of the design. Made around 1850 and probably Scandinavian. Height including stopper "6 ¼ / 16 cm. Condition: small nick to the underside of the mouth rim.
A Chinese Export blue and white plate for everyday use, unusual in its simplicity with a modest decoration of flower sprigs and geometric lines on a blue-grey background. Qianlong period, mid 18th century. Diameter "9¼/ 23,5 cm: Condition: some wear and rim frits, and a hairline.
Large furoshiki made of hand spun cotton and vegetable indigo dye. It has tsutsugaki (freehand drawing with paste-resist-dye technique) crane and turtle motif. Chinese Neolithic Twin-Handled Pottery Jar - Qijia Culture (c. 2050 - 1700 BC)
This attractively-shaped pottery jar was made around 4,000 years ago by peoples of the Neolithic Qijia Culture (c. 2050 - 1700 BC), from what is now eastern Gansu province, China. Rare black Lanna lacquer box circa 70 to 90 years old in excellent condition given its age, no repairs or big chunk missing, from Chiang Mai. Genuine old examples of Thai lacquer are quite rare these days as most have been bought up by Thai collectors. H: 8.7cm/3.4in and D: 11cm/4.2in.
19th century small Indian bronze votive sculpture of monkey god Hanuman with his hands in praying gesture in front of him, and his tail forming a loop behind him. Hanuman personifies ingenuity and faithfulness - his strength and courage helped Rama to defeat Ravana. Cast in Maharashtra, wonderful casting (see his body in strong S-shaped atibhanga flexion at the waist) and detailing, great patina. Height 2.5 inches.
A beautifully carved and gilt boxwood figure of Guan Yin / Guanyin. The goddess is holding the holy Buddhist scripture and has placed her hand between the open pages. China, Republic period, c 1920. The surface of the carving is covered with a thin layer of red that mixes with the gilt. The figure can be fixed to an oval wooden stand. Height (the stand not included) "4 ¾ / 12.3 cm. Condition: fine.
DESCRIPTION: Three antique wooden kitchen spoons, hand carved from maple wood. These have been waxed showing a beautiful patina, and new leather straps are attached for display. DIMENSIONS: Largest = 17” long x 4” wide; smallest = 14.5” long x 2.25” wide.
Russian wooden egg, lacquered in black and painted. One side with an orthodox cross and the other probably depicting St Basil’s cathedral in the Kremlin in the late 19th century. It might also show the then newly erected cathedral of the Assumption in Omsk. Height "4 / 10.5 cm. Condition: the painted decoration is flaking, as is the black lacquer (cf. pics).
Nice Victorian brass ladies' lace-up boot. This example has holes drilled to represent the holes for laces. The Victorians often placed these along their mantles for purely decorative purposes.

19th century wooden kiseruzutsu - Japanese tobacco pipe holder carved in a shape of a stem Fungus of Immortality with 2 heads. Very nice carving, clever design, himotoshi is formed by natural opening between stems, pleasant wear and patina on the surface. Length 8 inches.
Classic long sleeved silk brocade cheongsam aka qipao. This is all hand tailored and hand sewn, definitely not off the rack. Beautiful floral pattern (lotus, chrysanthemum, and pomegranate blossoms) with foliate scrolls, this pattern can be traced back to Ming Dynasty blue and white porcelain. The zipper has come off the track other than that perfect condition. See enlargements for dimensions. Clean but could use a steam press. More dimensions can be provided for a serious buyer.
Chinese Song / Yuan Dynasty Qingbai Glazed Porcelain Covered Jar

Authentic Antique Chinese, late Qing Dynasty, large handmade opaque white Peking Glass- Beijing Glass bowl of lobed flower head form, with quatrefoil rim and raised indented foot. The bowl has a bumpy and very shiny surface except for the center of the base which has a matte finish.

A Song/yuan dynasty longquan celadon bowl, bowl decorated with ribbing rising lotus petal motif at the outer wall, covered with green glaze.

Ko Imari Shochikubai-mon and Tako Karakusa Dish mid 18C
A moulded dish of lotus petal form with an upturned rim decorated in underglaze blue with a central Shochikubai mon, representing the auspicious Three Friends of Winter, framed by border of scrolling waves, uzunami, and a stylised lotus arabesque of so-called octopus scroll form. The reverse decorated with a meandering band of stylised Lotus vine, karakusa, and an auspicious four character fukichosun mark.

Faience écritoire / inkwell or desk set, France, c 1800. Unusually bold decoration of flowers in black and blue. The inserts apparently of the period, but not belonging. Width "7 ¼ / 18.5 cm, height "2/ 5 cm. Condition: wear consisting with age.
Lovely hand silk embroidered alter “skirt” with the Eight Chinese Immortals and three double happiness roundels at the top. I recently acquired this with a group of other vintage textiles; this is in perfect condition with a lovely palate of colors. Late 20th century, this would have been hung in in front of a temple altar table’s legs. H: 100cm/40in x W: 94cm/37in. Appears never to have been used.
Small Chinese Tang Dynasty Pottery Recumbent Horse
This small pottery model of a recumbent horse was made during the Tang Dynasty (AD 618 - 906). It is made from a buff-coloured pottery that has been "cold painted" in a white pigment. Note the detail of the horse's mane and its legs tucked under its body. Length 14 cm. A chip to its front left knee. No obvious sign of any repair.
