This is a very attractive Japanese Imari bowl. For an old Imari piece it is in excellent condition. It is also a very heavy piece potted. The bowl measures 8 1/2 inches across and 4 inches tall.

A delicate kiri-wood tray decorated with a fledgling among grass puffed up against the cold by important 20th century artist Domoto Insho enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled Kosuzume Seifu (Small Sparrow, Pure Wind) and signed inside Insho Saku. It is 19 x 19 x 2.5 cm (7-1/2 x 7-1/2 x 1 inch) and is in excellent condition.
This porcelain covered box was produced in France by Tressemann and Vogt Limoges around 1900. The box was sold white-ware and painted by a studio artist. It measures 7 inches in diameter and is
3 1/2 inches high. There is a portrait of a lady in a fancy hat, surrounded by pink roses and raised gilding. A row of turquoise beads accents the rim of the lid. The bottom half is colored forest green. It has a lovely, Victorian appearance.

From our European Porcelain Collection, a fine French Niderviller neoclassical-style porcelain saucer, heavily potted, late 18th century circa 1774-1784. This saucer is executed en grisaille in very fine detail of a sleeping cupid, rendered against a very dark cobalt blue ground that almost appears black. The border is richly gilded, and the reverse contains markings that stand for Count Philibert de Custine, who owned the Niderviller factory during this time period...

A German goblet from the Potsdam area, of potash glass. The overly large funnel bowl, profusely engraved with flowers and leaves, sits atop a merise which in turn sits atop a huge teared and notched baluster knop. The merise is of triangular form which might be due to cutting to symmetrize a chip.
Excellent overall condition. 7 1/8" tall, 4 3/8" diameter bowl, 5" diameter foot.

A very ornate hand chased silver hip flask with a hinged rotating bayonet cap. Monogrammed on the cap, it also has the date 1892. There is a small dent on the cap. Measures 6” high x 3.5".
A wonderful sterling silver trout set in Towle's 1884 "Arlington" pattern. The handles are decorated in the repousse style with a profusion of roses and foliage. The decoration lends itself to being mixed with many of the repousse patterns from the Baltimore area. It is the blade of the trout knife, wonderfully decorated with an engraved trout leaping into the air after biting a lure (the entire casting rod in the background), that really sets these servers apart...

An exquisite pair of 19th century Sometsuke porcelain bottles decorated with butterflies among seasonal flowers. A good Kakiemon long dish, nagazara, of a wide boat, sanpan, shaped form decorated with stylised lotus karakusa. The reverse decorated with Karakusa motifs and a Fuku in seal characters within a double square. An identical dish is illustrated in the Shibata Collection, see volume 5 no 154, there dated 1690-1710.
The dish is in good condition no cracks, chips or restoration. It measures 20.8cm long and is 14cm wide, standing 3.8cm at the rim. It weighs 365 grams...

The end of the Edo period omijyofu indido dye hemp kasuri child kimono of charming pattern of treasure.There is no stain. There are two small holes in the sleeve. , but they don't stand out.
It is a very delicate jyoufu hemp and is the best children's kimono. A hand-embroidered amulet is attached to the back. The silk waist straps on a white background are all original.

Enclosed in silver wire of varied thickness, boldly enameled iris grace this deep blue 6.5" Japanese cloisonne vase.
Condition: Three tiny red cloisons under the top rim are missing, behind these are small chips. The damage is under the rim at the back of the vase above the single iris bud and is not easily seen. There are no other issues.
