A pair of old Burmese jade cigarette holders, they stopped making these about 40 years ago, since they have went out of fashion. The white jade has holder (L: 12.2cm/4.9in) has a few scratches and the darker one (L: 6.2cm/2.4in) has naturally occurring inclusions.

Since Satsuma printed porcelain have got a great reputation at Expo 1867 in Paris, Satsuma brand has been very popular in Europe.The specialization on making body and printing has been going on in early Meiji period, the bodies was made in Satsuma area Kagoshima pref.and was printed in Yokohama or Kyoto and so on. This piece was printed at Chindo workshop in Yokohama and stayed in Japan not be exported. It has sophisticated patterns of mainly shrimps. No chips no repairs. SIZE: 21.4cm(D)...

This item was made in Jingdezhen, China, for export to Europe, during the reign of the Qianlong Emperor (1736-1795). Condition: excellent - no damages and no restoration. 5.5cm (2.2inches0 high; 6.5cm (2.5inches) diameter.

A rare burnished red earthenware foot rasp, in the form of a stylized crouching crocodile, probably made in Asyut (circa 1850-1920), for use in the Egyptian public bath house. An antique watercolor painting of an early Maine farm house with out buildings. It is a modest setting but with a very neat and tidy welcoming look. It is 6 by 9" and with mat and frame is 9 3/4" by 13". It show lines where is was folded at one time. I have not had it out of the frame. ( I bought this in an estate sale in Maine so I am assuming it is Maine but it doesn't have to be.)

A fine Japanese lacquer tray dating Taisho era, pre 1920. In excellent condition with only having some light wear to the bottom from sliding on tables or what not over the years. Measures: Length 8" x Width 6.75"

A large and heavy carving in emerald of an Eagle Fetish, Native American, probably Zuni, Navaho tribe and 20th. century.

The carving is cut and polished in one emerald stone and depicts the head of a Native tribes leader, carved on both sides of the stone. The stone is transperant light blue-green and very beautiful.

Zuni fetishes are small carvings made from primarily stone but also shell, fossils, and other materials by the Zuni people...

This Classic Mayan mother-of-pearl figurine is 1 1/8" wide. It was found by Dr. Allen Heflin. Although I could not capture it in photos, it is nicely opalescent. It would make a very unusual jewelry finding. It is C300-900AD.

An interesting and scarce stamp seal, carved and finely polished in white stone, perhaps marple, and engraved in the base with globules, Uruk period, 4th.-3rd. millenium BC.

An Arita blue & white porcelain dish decorated with a pavilion and poetry, an equestrian and servant in the foreground. The dish is moulded with a shallow ‘rinka’ edge. The back is plain and has three spur marks within the foot-rim.

An identical dish is illustrated in the Shibata Collection Vol.4, #303 where it is dated to 1770~1800.

Approximately 17.8 cm diameter. The dish has some light wear from normal use but is otherwise in fine condition...

A high quality milk glass goblet paneled with 9 facets and decorated with 3D grape and leaf design, most likely Westmoreland No. 1881. Stem is also faceted, standing on round foot. The "milk" alternates between translucence and opacity. This goblet is early 20th C. and in excellent condition.

We have left the original collector's identification tag on the foot, as it relates to the complete provenance of the glass...

From our Japanese Collection, a good Meiji Period (1868-1912) imari lobed dish, executed in traditional palette using iron red, orange, blue, green, and gilt on a white porcelain body, depicting a stylized chrysanthemum head motif in the center well, along with dragon, phoenix, and floral motifs in the border reserves. An unpretentious but well-made traditional example.

Size and Condition: 8 3/8 inches in diameter...

Instead of shoes, sandals such as these were worn in villages throughout India. Hand carved from indigenous woods, frequently teak and fitted to the individual wearer. The knob on the toe prevented the sandals from falling off and no other attachment was used.

Pair of wonderful cotton knit striped socks the heal hand worked. The colors and mustard yellow, blue and white stripes. Some of the hand sewing in the heal is lose or is partly out. No holes and I doubt they have been worn much at all. 28" long and circa 1880

Song Dynasty celadon jarlet with two vertical rings at neck. Muted floral scrolling design under crackled glaze which is of an olive brown tone. Height: 2.75 inches; Diameter: 4 inches.

An Islamic silver and turquoise pendant, 19th century. The pendant is formed of two hexagonal cylinders hinged together and held rigid by a swinging suspension loop at the top and a hinged bar at the bottom. The front and sides are encrusted with turquoise stones of circular and gul form, the back is engraved with flowers. No maker's mark.

Approximately 8 cm long. Fine condition though the silver has tarnished with age...

A small Japanese suiban made of bronze, to fill with small viewing stones, pebbles, or sand. Swimming ducks and irises decorate the sides, and the handles are elephant heads. Size: 2.25" height, 6.25" length

Condition: All the MOP inlay is intact but there are numerous tiny nicks and chips in the surface finish on the inside and outside edges of the rim surround. Most of these nicks can only be seen when the edges are caught in a spe...

A Chinese porcelain baluster shaped vase (without its original cover) painted in under glaze blue in early 18th Century style with birds and flowers (including stylized peony and lotus). The base carries a four character Kangxi mark but this item was made later, for export, during either the late 19th or early 20th Century.

Condition: excellent - very minor fritting to the base rim but no chips, cracks or restoration.
