Turn-of-the-century American Art Nouveau glass flask with engraved silver overlay. Flat front and concave back; sides curved and bottom flat. Short neck in silver collar and hinged and cork-lined cover. Overlay in form of dense leafing scrollwork and flowers. Glass is clear. Silver marked “Solid Silver / Pat. Jan. 5-86”. This porcelain dessert stand or tazza was produced in France at Sevres in 1850. It has a cancellation line through the mark. The stand measures 10 ¾ inches in diameter and is 4 ½ inches high. An outstanding and very large pottery sculpture of a Fish, Indonesia, Majahapit Empire, 13th.-14th. century AD.

The sculpture comes with a termo-Luminescence test from Kotalla Laboratory in Dec. 2020, the vessel tested as ca. 590 years old.

The fish is resting on a large podium with it's tail and head lifted, it's sharp teeth visible in a large curving mouth...

German Nymphenburg porcelain Soup Tureen and Cover, 13" wide with handle, and 9 1/2" diameter-top rim, 8 1/2" high, with applied three(3) dimensional Apple knob with branch of leaves, and molded Rococo style handles. Hand painted two(2) blue bouquet flowers in 2 or 3 different shades of blue, smaller bunch of flowers spread out in several areas, some are on top of the molded basket weave design borders...

Another Tea kettle from our tetsubin collection: a cast iron Tea kettle tetsubin from China, marked 'Kangxi, 40th year (1700) and the name of a maker 'Kichinichi zo'.

It has some traces of age and some rust inside. Great item with sophisticated atmosphere.

A superbly beautiful, and unique-shaped French art pottery ewer made by Delphin Massier in Villauris, around 1895. The ewer is hand-painted with Fall scenery - I wonder if Daum Nancy cameo artists were inspired with artistry similar to this in cameo-decorating their scenic glass vases. A rare and very early German wooden figure of Saint John with lamb, Germany, 16th. century.

A finely made figure, with polychrome painted gesso on carved wood. With inlaid glass eyes.

Size: 36,3 cm. tall.

Condition: Choice for type, intact with a few tiny losses to fingertips and wear to the original paint on the figure. The staff probably a later 19th. century addition.

A wonderful and amusing hooked rug depicting an aardvark. I have collected many rugs featuring animals but have never seen another with an aardvark. Well, at least I think this is someone's interpretation of an aardvark, or possibly a beaver, armadillo or pangolin. Whatever the craftsman was aiming for, one has to smile at this, and at the pinkish salmon background color surrounded by a scalloped teal border. Cotton yarn and with original burlap foundation.

A stunning footed cut glass compote in Hawkes’ “Delft Diamond” pattern. While the pattern is not especially ornate, the deep emerald green color of the blank is amazing. The knopped stem has an elongated airtrap bubble that’s difficult to see because the color of the glass is so rich. The plain round foot is acid-stamped with Hawkes’ trefoil signature, which would suggest a relatively early date.

A large and very impressive tomb pottery horseman, Chinese, 1368-1644. This horse and rider comes with the official ThermoLuminescence test from Kotalla lab, dating it to the later Ming Dynasty.*

A rare tomb pottery officer that we recently purchased as part of a small group.

The pottery horseman a high-ranking soldier equiped with a bow case at one side and a quiver at his other side, he is clad in body armor in blue and torquise. He is riding a large white horse.

An extremely rare and charming pottery figure, with colored glaze decoration, of a hyena or jackal. Condition is superb, with no flaws or damage at all. 3 1/4" tall.

A charming hooked rug depicting a woman holding a flower and sitting in a chair beside a large kettle over an open fire. The wall behind her shows a painting and a window through which can be seen a church. Rugs of this size and this period showing an interior scene are quite uncommon.

The 21" by 17" rug is mounted in a museum approved manner on acid free board. The condition is excellent, with no issues.

A delightful and very rare Staffordshire ironstone puzzle jug by Elsmore & Forster. A finely cast figure of a Godess, likeley 'Uma', standing in samabhanga, wearing a sampot with a elaborate hems, holding ritual objects in both hands, richly adorned with jewelry. Her strongly featured face with almond-shaped eyes, and full lips, the head surmounted by a large and elaborate pointed crown.

Quite exceptional for the richness of details and the fine cast. With a very attractive green patina with earthern deposits.

A superb quality and extremely large for type decorative brass dish or Baptismal dish, as it's also called, Nuremburg, 16th.-17th. century.

With it's highly unusual size of 52 cm. and the fine execution, this dish comes from a very rich family estate. The dish shows a high-born renaissance lady in the center with well executed incised concentrhic decoration at the fan. Lovely deep black patina on the backside.
