The object was not cast in one go, indeed the handles and the feet were cast separately and welded, which for the feet is unusual. A rare and very old neolithic pottery jar from the Qijia culture from Gansu Province, China, 2050 - 1200 BC. Being corded, when the clay was wet, fabric was applied making pattern. When it was fired, the fabric would burn off, leaving the design. In excellent condition, no restoration or repairs, it measures 6.5" high.

Pair of cast bronze cranes. The birds are fixed on rectangular bases, they carry a vase on their back and a ball in their beak. Sometimes these birds hold in their beak a flowering stem which ends in a candle holder, but here, examination with a magnifying glass reveals neither fracture nor grinding, it would seem that they are simply balls.Is this related to the funerary practice of placing a ball in the mouth of the deceased? A scholar must surely know what it is...

The metal head of the rattle – called shakujo – with some simply engraved decoration on the central shaft indicating lotus petals. The central ring has the shape of an inverted heart, from which six rings loop, three on each side.
The six rings symbolize the Six Realms of Existence where Jizō is active and the Six Perfections that lead to nirvana: generosity, morality, patience, vigor, concentration, and wisdom.

Antique Late 19th-century beautiful pair of silver plated, Polish Jewish Sabbath candlesticks made by famous maker "FRAGET in WARSAW." The candlesticks are made in the classic Polish "petticoat" style set above and below with skirted foliate knops. Small scholar's chinese table in precious wood. The table is cut from a single plank of wood. The shape is simple and elegant. The wood is very hard, dark brown in color with red highlights, its grain is very fine, similar to mahogany or rosewood. Beautiful and rare famille rose porcelain dish with very well painted figural and landscaping decoration. Qianlong six characters reign mark and of the period. Condition: Excellent, there are small chips on the foot rim, it looks like that these chips were already there before the enamel applied. Please refer to the enlargements to confirm this. Japanese Porcelain Blue and White large Hibachi with cut out handle on both side and rounded deep top rim, Ca. 1900, 12" high, 19" diameter outer size, with rounded curved inside to make round top rim, underglaze blue and white design is bold and large, covers entire side with pine tree, steep streams in large scale of natural landscape. The handles on both side is cut out from the main body makes easier to lift and handle the heavy piece of Hibachi. The condition is good, no damages.
Antique Japanese gusoku bitsu (carrying box for samurai armor). Constructed of Kiri (paulownia) wood with original red lacquer finish and black lacquer frame, its edges reinforced with hand-forged iron plates and locks. The back has shoulder straps, made of leather and braided reeds, on iron rings for carrying. A kanji inscription between the leather straps gives the previous owner's name.

The exterior chiselled and engraved, the neck with a band of nasta'liq inscription and the body with lattice containing flowerheads. Quatrefoil with owner's or maker's name. Condition: traces of usage, rubbing to tinning. Dimension: diameter: 28.5 cm, 15 cm high.
The incense burner consists of a thick and solid cast bronze cup which rests on a tripod base also in cast bronze. A cut copper cover is held by a hinge fixed by rivets. Islamic work from the middle east. Very nice old patina of the metal. Bronze very earlier than the 18th century. H:21cm. A hole on the lid (see photo) otherwise good condition.
Chinese antique monochrome porcelain incensor with round squat body on three legs. The red oxblood glaze transitions to white around the short neck and flares slightly. Thick drips on the underside of the body. The copper content of the glaze is evident in green colored drippings on the inside of the lip.

This is an old and well done Japanese Satsuma box. The design has a wonderful contrast between the simplistic over glazed enamel water elements and the refined, highly detailed gold wheels. The inside is covered with a layer of gold. The box is not signed but we think it could have possibly come from the Makuzu Kozan studio because of its quality and uniqueness. An antique Japanese small Kimono Tansu chest made of Kiri (Paulownia) and Sugi (Cyrptomeria) woods. All original Urushi lacquer finish and hand forged iron hardware including the Hirute style handles. Four drawers of varying sizes and a hinged door that secured 2 small drawers where valuables were kept. This would make a great side chest or a compact dresser for a small bedroom.

This is a small and thinly potted Song Dynasty (960 – 1276) small yingqing bowl. It stands on a short glazed foot rim and base rising to an everted c-shaped glazed body stopping short of the rim. Both the rim inside and outside of the bowl is unglazed exposing the porcellanous body.
The small yingqing bowl has abrasion, glaze crazing, pin holes and a small chip on the rim which can be seen in all the pictures. There is no repair or restoration. Overall the bowl is in good condition...
