This Antique leather Tuareg belt is from the African region of Timbuktu, Mali. The total length of the belt including the fringe is roughly 46 inches. The 2 leather talisman or amulets are flat and they loosely loop around the belt so their position can be re arranged. They were sewn shut, protecting the contents. Because of their inaccessibility...it is not possible to know if the contents are amulets or talisman. They measure roughly 3 inches x 2.5.....

Two rare turquoise glazed foo lion candle holders of the Ming dynasty, these are not the typical joss stick holders, for reference of this type, please refer to the book " Song dynasty ceramics" by Rose Kerr. Shown on page 57 fig. 53, is a candlestick in the form of a lion, though dated 12th-13th century, the spouted form atop the backside of the lion renders it a candlestick. In good condition with minor chips and grazing of the glaze, all commiserate with age. They measure 6 inches high...

19th century netsuke carved as a fox sitting on a base with 4-character seal bottom and scenes with lobsters and shells on the sides. This particular fox represents Inari - the benevolent and well disposed creature, being the messenger of the God of rice and harvest, as opposed to the other foxes, which in Japan are generally believed to be evil creatures. Japanese antique small Ko Tansu (personal chest) made all of kiri (paulownia) wood with black lacquered iron hardware. This small chest has 4 drawers and 1 small door with 2 hidden drawers. The hardware is all made of blackened iron and includes 4 round drawer pulls, 5 locks and 2 side handles.

An uncommon silver tastevin, the bottom inset with a Mexican silver coin featuring the likeness of King Ferdinand VII of Spain, the last Spanish emperor to rule over Mexico. Lenox Porcelain Gold Rim Soup Plate, Ca. 1920, 8 1/2" diameter, 1 3/8" high, marked "Lenox, Made Expressly for Ovington Bros. New York" in green and 7/J.33 in Gold above green mark. The condition is good. This one(1) soup plate will match with #1405843 below.

A Song dynasty white glazed plain bowl. Condition is very good, no any crack, and free from any restoration, excepted tiny firing crack visible from interior mouth rim. Found at Indonesia more than 10 years ago. Diameter: 16 cm and Height: 5,9 cm.

A very handsome and hard-to-find George III navette form mahogany peat bucket. Bound with five brass bands, it still has its original brass bail or handle. This peat bucket is in excellent antique condition and appears to be all original. Measures 14.5 inches wide, 13.25" at highest point on side and dates circa 1780.

12 Lenox Porcelain encrusted wide Gold Rim Plates with white Berries, made for "Tiffany & Co.", Ca. 1915, 10 1/2" diameter, encrusted gold leafy vines with white Berry, marked "Lenox, Tiffany & Co." in green on the bottom, and marked "X 10 1/2"/F49" in gold upper bottom area next to bottom rim. There is a small chip on the bottom rim and some worn spots on wide inner gold rim.

A pair of antique Japanese vases finely cast with raised images on both highlighted with gold & shakudo. The images of a temple scene, hillside landscape with trees and monks are on one vase. The other vase has a scene of a bridge with people and a distant village. the clouds on each extend to the upper body.

Very unusual 19th century netsuke representing a bird in flight. It may be a swallow, but I am not sure. Wonderful spirited carving capturing the essence of the creature with its swiftness, beautiful face, eyes are double inlaid with horn, excellent depiction of different feathers. Great wear and patina, old age lines. Length 2 1/4 inches.

19th century marine netsuke in a form of a woven mat with a bunch of grapes with vines and leaves, and a snail exploring them. The piece is probably carved by a member of Asakusa school with characteristic detailing and staining. The netsuke is hollowed inside, so can be classified as ryusa type. Excellent carving, characteristic beautiful sheen to the surface, wonderful wear and patina. Length 1 1/2 inches.

Rare item. Yazutsu (quiver) made of "koyori" which is twisted washi (Japanese handmade paper) strings. The crafts made of koyori and coated with urushi were called "Kami-Nagato" and they were popular handicrafts in Edo period, such as tabacco cases, bowls and sake containers in hyotan shape and so on. It has 15 arrows made of bamboo but feathers are worn out. The quiver is in excellent condition. The 19th century. L:94cm Diameter:7.5cm

Chinese Silver Duck and 2 Jade Figure Toggle with Agate Bead, Ca. 1920, 6 1/4" long overall height, 1 1/2" wide and 1" high(silver Duck), 2 jade pieces(1" high), with round Agate Bead(1/2" or 10mm diameter), detailed intricate tassel at the bottom. The condition is good.

Chinese Silver Lotus Pod oval shape Pendant, with Agate bead, Ca. 1920, 3 1/4" for entire height, 1 5/8" high and 1 1/4" wide, 1 3/8" deep(Lotus Pod), rings like Bell, Pod is closed on the bottom, hollow inside, both side have same impressed design, the round Agate bead is 1 1/2" or 10mm diameter. The condition is good.
