Chinese late Ming dynasty Wanli period porcelain kendi with a compressed globular body and mammiform spout decorated on the globular body in underglaze cobalt blue with flowers and scrolling foliage. Leafy peaches and ribboned lozenges decorate the spout and a band around the shoulder. The tubular neck, which flares to a wide disk shaped mouth, is painted with a stiff leaf band.
