Antique Korean bandaji (blanket storage chest), made of beautiful thick elm wood with dove tail joinery, brass hardware including double happiness symbols, fish, and cranes, (c. 1910). Size: 38 3/4" high x 42 1/4" wide x 23" deep.

Large Korean three-level kitchen cabinet (samch'ung ch'an-jang) orange-brown color finish, elm wood panels, iron hardware, top section has 2 small drawers with bat shaped hardware, top compartment opens wide with pair of double hinged doors, bottom compartment has 2 sets of doors opening to two separate compartments, beautiful overall scale and proportions, Chosun Period (c. 1900). Size: 68 3/4" high x 43" wide x 21" deep.

This Victorian napkin ring has 2 Oriental fans supporting the napkin holder, under which there is a butterfly- all mounted on a square, ball-footed base. It is hallmarked #208 with Meriden & Co in a circle.

A Georgian English hand painted Imari dessert dish or platter circa 1800 1820. This 11-1/4" x 7-1/4" unmarked bowl features gold, orange, cobalt, teal, green and purple painted floral designs. Although it lacks an indent, it is possible that this is the platter that went beneath a tureen. It is 1-3/4" deep at the deepest point, so we are also calling it a s dish or shallow bowl...

A pair of Gorham sterling salt dishes with spoons dated 1889. This embossed pair of 19th century salt cellars are 2" in diameter and they feature floral embossing and scalloped rims; they are stamped with the lion/anchor/G Gorham mark, STERLING, 2235 (pattern number) with the Gorham 1889 year mark. The pair of 2-1/8" long sterling silver salt spoons also have the Gorham old hallmark with STERLING, and they are in the Colonial pattern by Gorham, which was introduced in 1885...

This beautiful and unique little jar is part of the famous Hoi An hoard.In the mid 15th century a freighting junk loaded with fine Vietnamese pottery sank in an area of the South China Sea called the “Dragon’s Embrace.” Around 1994 local fishermen began finding pottery in their nets. Thus what has become known as the "Hoi An Hoard" was discovered. This is one of the sole surviving examples of Hoi An porcelain boxes that has a moulded decoration on the lid...

This piece is an ancient bronze bell from southeast Asia. It is likely from the Khmer culture around the 12th century but stylistically it could be considerably older. It has a beautiful blue and green patina with traces of soil encrustations and fabric. It is approximately 7.5 cm tall, 6.8 cm wide and weighs 251 grams.

A Japanese pipe case (kizeruzutsu) decorated on a deep red lacquer and lacquered *agiro ground with Chinese bell flowers (kikyo) on one side and a waterlily on the other side. It is attached to a stylish leather pouch with a clasp of mixed metal beans. Some damages on lacquer. Late Edo/Meiji period. *Ajiro is a woven wickerwork made out of strips of bamboo skin, cypress bark or Japanese reed.

A late Tang to very early Sung dynasty green glaze celadon tea bowl. It is in good condition with no chip, no repair except the manufacturing defect as shown and its glaze still prestine. This is an Chinese Yue green glaze celadon container powder box (currently used for agarwood chip for burning) it is from Five Dynasties to Northern Sung Dynasty era. This Acme silver Co. number 732 three cherries and leaves drape over one side of the napkin holder which has a leaf-shaped base. Sometimes this napkin holder will be marked Standard Silver Co., Ltd.

This napkin ring is 2 1/2" tall and is circa 1885. It is engraved with the name " Grace". It has wonderful patina.

This silver plate Meriden Britania Co. Number 202 napkin ring is a long tailed bird resting upon the stem of a large leaf,its tips creating the feet. The banded napkin ring holder has in its center a leaf design with the space for engraving. This space is engraved "Ella" very lightly and very small. The Japanning shows some wear and there is a bump to the side of the ring. It is hallmarked "Meriden" in a circle. Lots of detailing on this item.

This assortment of cosmetic brushes along with the small container was originally part of a large cosmetic set which would have been commissioned for the a wealthy Japanese bridal trousseaux. Many layers of the rich black roiro-nuri lacquer was applied and polished to achieve the deep lusterious tone. The brushes are accented with a 2 and 3 tone golden floral motif. None of the brushes show any signs of use...

This is one of two Song Dynasty (960 - 1279) celadon bowls. Both are in fantastic shape and are an incredible buy. This one measures roughly 15 cm across.

This beautiful blue and white porcelain bowl is from the Ming dynasty and was recovered from an un-named shipwreck off the coast of southeast Asia. It has a small crack (visible in the photos) but is in otherwise spectacular condition. Inside the bowl is a crane in reeds and on the outside are mandarin ducks and lotus flowers. There is a small blemish on the outside from years of underwater exposure. It measures roughly 19 cm across.

This interesting little ceramic figure is purportedly from the Majapahit period (1293-1500)of Eastern Java. Possibly a religious figure, it is barefoot and has tribal head-dress and flowing robes. There does appear to be a light colored glaze underneath the surface dirt which I have not attempted to remove or clean. The statue is just under 20 cm in height and weighs 444 grams. This is a truly unique piece of ancient artwork, the likes of which we have not seen...

A Japanese tobacco pouch, ojime and pipe case (kiseruzutsu) - a leather pouch with an impressed name/hallmark of a famous sake on the inside of the flap with a gilt bronze clasp of a Chinese man and go (Japanese chess, originally Chinese) table. The ojime is a Bizen type pottery bead modeled as a two headed karako (Chinese boy), lucky god Ebisu or Daikoku. A lovely cut glass perfume bottle cut from cranberry to clear. The design incorporates wide miters separated by combinations of fans, strawberry diamond and star motifs. The shoulders of the bottle are panel cut, and the base is finished with a 24-point star. The lapidary-cut stopper is original to the bottle and is engraved with the same number as the inside of the bottle's neck.

An unusual pair of Satsuma earthenware vases, eight inches in height, with graduated green underglaze depicting landscapes.

A 10.8" square tray signed Teizan and sealed Kinzan, mid Meiji period, depicting an unfortunate encounter between a hawk and a goose.

Condition: Quite good overall condition, There is a faint nick and short enamel crack to the front of the tray, two small areas of enamel cracking to the reverse, and pitting usual to the period. No dents or restoration.

A rare early 18th century French porcelain figure after an early Japanese piece, Edo period. The 5" model of a seated boy holding a peach is beautifully enameled in the Imari palette. A fine addition to a historical porcelain collection.

There is some damage; the tip of the boy's tongue is missing, as is the tip of the little finger of his right hand. The left hand has been broken and repaired, three finger tips are missing. This may be seen in the sixth photograph.
