A Very Fine and Rare Bronze Bowl/Cover with a Beautiful Patina.
Korea, Koryo dynasty (11th – 14th century.
The deep bowl with thinly cast, sloping steep sides and sharply tapering to a raised,
mounted on a splayed raised ring foot, with overall covered with a beautiful blackish
olive green patina including the cover and with a lotus bud shaped knob.
It’s in very fine condition without any damages.
Measurments: 15.2cm x 15cm h.

A small very well potted bowl. The rare shape of the bowl is extraordinary nice. The body is covered with a thick, pale bluegreen Celadon glaze. Longquan ware, Zhejiang. Song to Yuan Dynasties . This bowl would be a nice enrichment for any Longquan collection.

Large Meiji Period Bunraku Puppet of Tokagawa Ieyasu. Extremely rare on this grand scale (4 feet high, 122 cm). This fine quality puppet was possibly made at the request of the puppeteer Kiritake Monjuro II, as the hero in Bunraku plays. It has a fantastic dynamic presence, and is carved of Poloma wood covered in gofun (oyster shell lacquer) featuring sumptuous silk brocades with Tokagawa crests and dragons.
