Very rare and fine JIN DYNASTY Terracotta Tomb Brick Panel depicting a festive male drummer with flowing robes playing the waist drum (1115-1234 A.D), China. The waist drum with it's hourglass shape and cloth covering was tied to the players waist to allow him to move freely, without hindrance. It was an instrument of choice for dancers. In Shanxi, a waist drum dance dating back some 2000 years is still practiced today...

An antique Medieval 13th-14th centuries A.D. (597 AH – 803 AH) Egypt. Islamic Mamluk period footed dish. The red clay body of a shallow, circular form with an everted rim rests on three short cabriolet legs.

The interior is painted under the glaze in dark brown on an amber color background with a large flower head with cusped lip formed by a central bud with eight emerging petals...

An incredible Chinese Cizhou ware vase of a meiping form, the elongated oval body decorated in carved floral patterns in a cream crackle glaze, the short trumpet spout flanked by four cascading handles, the foot remains bare without glaze and slightly recessed. Large Chinese Song / Yuan Dynasty Glazed Buddhist Jar

This large and impressive pottery jar was made around the 13th / 14th century, during the Song Dynasty (AD 960 - 1279) or the Yuan Dynasty (AD 1279 - 1368). Until recent years, this type of jar was almost unknown in the west with some people initially attributing them to the Liao Dynasty (same general period but in the north of China). These jars are now known to have originated from Yunnan province in the south-west of China...
