Radha is a Hindu goddess and a chief consort of the god Krishna and is worshiped as the goddess of love, tenderness, compassion and devotion. She is the avatar of Lakshmi and is also described as the chief of gopis (milkmaids), who are entranced by Krishna playing flute...

A 19th Century embroidered tabako-ire with a flower pattern. The kagamibuta is carved with a figure.

A Chinese snuff bottle made in repoussed silver with some guilloche decoration and colorful enamel, gilt rims. Showing two young ladies, one is playing the flute. The stopper is en suite, bone spoon. Condition: traces of usage, wear to gilding, little verdigris. Dimension: height: c. 6.3 cm.

Finely potted porcelain dish with milky white glaze, the broad border moulded with ruyi heads. The center with fine depiction of a kirin, painted in green enamel, iron red and some gold. Please refer to: "Kakiemon Porcelain - A Handbook" by Menno Fitski, No. 126. Condition: little wear to painted area, base with a star crack, rim with a short hairline and a firing default. Dimension: diameter: 14.8 cm, 3.1 cm high.

19th century Chinese Famille Rose Melon shape Porcelain Jar, Ca. mid 1800's, 11 1/2" high, 8 1/2" wide-middle widest part, 3 3/4" diameter-top rim, with overglaze Famille Rose color of mother and children are playing in the garden on one side and two(2) bats are flying on the other side. Few old chips inside the top rim and kiln crazing on the bottom, no cracks or hairlines.

Found in the Philippines. Featuring a small jarlet with two lug handles and is covered overall in an opaque qingbai-type of glaze with iron-spots. Its base is fully unglazed...

A very unique 14 sided paperweight with an interior sculpture having a latticino base supporting stranded cage housing a green glass bubble. Its quality workmanship is accented by the beveled edges on the top and bottom. In excellent condition and unsigned. Please note that the glass is slightly yellow, due in large measure tot he yellow glass rods. Our images suggest a clearer brighter glass, but that is not the case when viewed in normal light. Antique Chinese bamboo arm rest with carvings depicting a deer rests on a rock under a tree with lingzhi in his mouth. 19th Century. The arm rest is in good antique condition. Length: 7-3/4"; width: 2-1/2".

Early 19th century lacquered wood netsuke of a boy climbing onto a huge double gourd. Nice subject (most probably a reference to a rebus), excellent face with a wide smile. Wood is lacquered in Negoro style - red lacquer over black, so as it wears the black and later wood start showing. Wear consistent with age, wonderful patina. Length 1.85 inches.

Used antique Chinese inkstone with a carving of a peach at its most shallow point. Peaches are said to be heavenly fruit that promote longevity. SOLD An elaborately molded high handled sauceboat decorated with blue transfer flowers and blue transfer border on the interior top edge. There is a large amount of kiln ash in the glaze. 5 ¾ inches (14.5 cm) long, 3 ¼ inches (8 cm) tall and 2 ¾ inches (6.5 cm) wide.

Condition; Hairline crack where the handle joins the body and another short one on the left side just behind the first bump traveling back toward the handle. As mentioned earlier there is plenty of ash in the glaze...

Authentic Ancient 90-140 A.D. Roman Italian Terracotta Oil lamp Loeschcke Type 8, with ring handle. Shallow plain concave discus: a single filling hole at center, and a groove and raised circle around edge. Slightly sloping shoulder and Incised base ring.

Magnificent pottery Ding. The long legs and “cockscomb” design where, the legs join the body, are in keeping with bronze vessels from the Zhou to Warring States period, which pottery pieces were trying to emulate. There are traces of a repetitive meandering impressed band below mid circumference. The body is thinly potted with very light gray clay and originally had a dark gray slip applied to the outside (the original gray slip is still intact in the cavity)...

Large Song Dynasty bowl with incised designs and an olive brown glaze. Some apparent wear on glaze around rim with small chip. There are no cracks or hairlines. Diameter is 10 inches and height is +3 inches.

Pair of large Han Dynasty “ear cups”- er’bei. These are have an outstanding rich green lead glaze, with paraffin patina and high relief wave pattern on the sides. Please note last two enlargements- there are two professional quality repairs. L: 13cm/5.1in, W: 12cm.5/4.8in and H: 4cm/1.6in.

A delicate little porcelain wine cup with butterflies. The enamels are just beautiful, precise, not grainy, etc. It has an iron red Tongzhi mark on the bottom. Except for a little wear to the gold on the rim, it is in excellent condition measuring approximately 2 5/8” wide and 1.25" high.

Rare pair of Northern Qi women of the court, circa 550CE-577CE, with original pigments both are in excellent condition- please note the profiles with their jutting jaws and stubborn countenance reflecting their Mongol/Turkic heritage. H: 13cm/5.1in.

Japanese large Wood square Hibachi with original Copper Lining, 7" high-outside and 5 1/2" inside, 17 1/2" square-outside and 16 1/2" square top rim, 11 1/2" square inside copper lining, with cut out handle on both side, original blue cotton fabric on the bottom. The beautiful bold looking grain of wood is noticeable and all original condition, no major damage except old copper lining is somewhat stained.

These teeth are often faked. This tooth is from a 10 million year old fossil and has no repair or restoration. Most have serious undetected restoration. This one is a no-brainer. This is a green glazed bowl dated to the Northern Song Dynasty. It stands on a short foot rim with a recess base. On the cavetto, it is divided into four sections of incised abstract cloud like drawings

The bowl is in very good conditions with the glaze intact and some glaze crazing. There are very minor abrasion and chip on the rim, which can be expected and is normal for bowl of such ageing. Other than that, it is in very good condition...

Very rare antique lacquer box from the Southern Shan States circa late 19th CE to early 20th CE. This a complete set (which is rare in itself these days). The pattern though simple is exquisitely detailed. Some craquelure on the surface, as is expected and few minor chips at the bottom of the lid. H 13.7cm/5.4in and D: 15.5cm/6.1in.

A Chinese Export blue and white octagonal platter, c 1760. Blue and white decoration, the well with a laid garden table and a willow tree within a lace frame, the border with butterflies and flowers. Cut edges with “reinforcement” glaze. Width “14 ¼ /36 cm, height “1 ½ /4 cm. Condition: restored flake to border and small rim chip, otherwise fine.

An oval and domed porcelain plaque with enamelled flowers in a gilt and Bleu Céleste framework. The ”heavenly blue” colour was a speciality for Sevres in the 18th century and revived in the 19th during the reign of Napoléon III. The gilt flower wreath is tooled, to show the texture of the little flower petals, and the large flower motif is excellently painted. 18th to early 19th century Japanese bronze kozuka (sword knife) handle with low relief decoration of Kanzan and Jittoku looking at an open scroll. According to a legend, Kanzan and Jittoku lived in a kitchen of a Chinese Zen Buddhist monastery and talked nonsensical language, which some took as a sign of them being enlightened. 19th century Japanese Asakusa school staghorn kiseruzutsu - tobacco pipe case - carved with a scholarly landscape with a temple among hills and rocks by a pine tree, and a village in the distance. Clever carving incorporating porous texture of its center as element of design, nicely chunky. Beautiful wear and patina, in great condition. Length 8 inches.

Very rare small celadon Yueyao lugged jar from a Zhejiang Kiln, circa Five Dynasties/Early Northern Song. This type of ceramic was a precursor to Longquan ware. There is a firing crack and some fritting (caused by pockets of air trapped beneath the glaze during firing) on one side- noted in enlargements. D: 9cm/3.5in and H: 6cm/24in.

A pair of small “utility” knives made by Iban people of Sarawak, East Malaysia. These were frequently carried in the sheaths of their larger brothers, the Dayak mandau. The blades are hand forged, possibly scavenged steel from the leaf springs form an old car. Circa last half of the 20th century. Good Bhutan hand spun blanket. I bought this from a Bhutanese woman sitting at the bottom of the trail to original Tiger Nest, in 1995. Simple but stunning wool embroidered floral and foliate medallions. Made with soft wool (very warm), comprised of two panels, perfect condition. Width: 93cm/37.5in and Length: 158cm/62in.
