A spectacular set of 15 hand blown crystal cordial glasses manufactured in Bohemia by Moser circa 1880, each hand cut and decorated with elaborate raised gold flowers and leaves, comprising a mixture of colors, shapes and stems. The glasses measure 4 inches high and the diameter of the openings vary between 1 1/2 inches to 1 3/4"inches. The lip and base of each piece is banded. Excellent antique condition. An antique Japanese Funa Tansu (Captain's Chest) made entirely of Kirinoki (Paulownia) wood. All original finish and hand made iron fittings. This is Fukusa of beautiful hand embroidery made in Kyoto in the Edo era.(1800-1867) As for the embroidery, the thread which gold leaf was rolled round is used and is made all by hand. The surface does not have a stain and the damage. And there are a few stains to the lining. It does not stand out. This is embroidery of a lucky bird. This is a wonderful but plain little copper alloy or bronze axe head from the ancient middle East. Types like this are often associated with either the Amlash or Luristan cultures. This piece has three raised ridges on the socket. It is intact, solid and stable with no repair or restoration. It weighs 230 grams and measures 12.5 cm across.
