Chinese elm wood square low table in a natural finish with two deep drawers each on two alternating sides. Brass hardware appears to be original. Late 19th century. 19 5/8"H x 31 3/4" square. There is an old narrow moon shaped burn on the top (see enlargement 3) and there are a few small separations in the wood on the top from shrinkage. This piece is from a Tucson collection and was purchased by expatriates to Taiwan in the 1980's.

A fine and charming watercolor on paper portrait of a mother and daughter, the daughter with a book and an apple. Sight size is 5 3/4 inches by 4 1/4 inches, while the framed size is 9 5/8 inches by 8 inches.

The portrait is in excellent condition, although the photos exaggerate some very minor toning. The bird's eye maple frame, which is not new and might be original, is also in excellent condition.

Japanese Late Edo - Early Meiji Period TAKEDA actor doll. The doll has GOFUN (powder made from oyster shells) head and hands, painted eyes, cloth and paper clothing, armor and weapons. This is an elegant pair of tall chine de blance vase. It stands on a shallow foot rim everting upward slightly like a "v" shape with a mild short shoulder and then a slightly long inverted "C" shaped and an everted flat mouth rim. On the side of the shoulder, there is a pair of moulded lion-mask to the left and right. On the base it has the mark of the honoric mark of "Da Ming Xuande Nian Zhou". Cir. 18th/19th century.

Unusual japanese bronze flower vase, signed with the original kiri (paulownia wood) tomobako box.
