A very finely-made coin silver pastry or cake server, the handle decorated with a spray of flowers in the Aesthetic style. The blade has ornately shaped sholders and wonderful bright-cut engraving. The back of the handle has a period 3-letter monogram "MSS" and is marked "Pure Coin Pat. App. For". The retailer's mark is "Hutchinson & Connell".
Origin: America, ca. 1860...

A fine antique Danish mortar in beautiful early brass alloy, dating to c. 1780.
A large brass mortar with a corrosponding pestle, very decorative and a nice antique for both display and kitchen use.
Size: Mortar is 133 mm. high and 130 mm. wide, pestle is ca. 24 cm. long and combined weight of the set is more than 3 kilograms!
Condition: Superb.
Provenance: Thorkild Krarup Lange Collection, Retired Pharmacist in Copenhagen.

A lovely early North-European bronze tripod Pan, dating to mid-late 18th. century AD.
An early type of Scandinavian cuphrite brass metal pan for open fire with three legs and a closed handle. Later crude owners initials from time of use are dating to c. 1800. This particular alloy and type was made c. 1750-1780.
The pan with wonderful patina, extensive wear and repairs from the time of use.

A very nice Victorian lacquered papier-mache folding corner shelf decorated with Chinese court scenes depicting a pair of noble ladies relaxing amidst their finery. The design is worked in gold and silver metallic inks and is accented with iron red and flesh-tone colors. This tiny handsewn patch work quilt has just on square that has a little hole. One of the long sides the edge has a bit out of it, maybe it caught on something. The sewing is somewhat unskilled and appears to have been a labor of love rather than perfection. It has a lot of charm and nice enough to be uses on a doll bed or hung on a wall. Terrific figural porcelain creamer in the form of a lobster. This example has very nice painted details--note how the paint fades from red to pink to white at the edges of the claws. The bottom is stamped with the blue mark.
Origin: Germany, circa 1919. Condition: excellent, only a few tiny paint scrapes; no chips or cracks. Size: 4" high, 5" across.

Gorgeous sterling silver berry spoon in Durgin's 1891 "Watteau" pattern. The rococo design of the handle is wonderful on its own, but when combined with the decoration of the bowl, it's stunning! The back is hallmarked by Durgin.

A large, Rubina, overshot, Bohemian glass jug, made likely by Harrach, around 1880. The jug is 10 inches (25,5 cm) tall and 6 1/2 inches (16,5 cm) wide (to handle-tip). Except for a small rim-chip, the jug is in good condition. Unpolished, recessed pontil. Unmarked - attributed to Harrach. The glass fluoresces in a gentle green coloration when subjected to black-light - typicall of 19th century soda-lime glass objects.

A very nice folding corner shelf of lacquered papier-mache with metallic decoration of Chinese court scenes. One wall shows ladies riding in a rickshaw while the other shows ladies strolling in a court garden with their guardian. The scalloped edge of the shelf is decorated with a gilt edge.
