A Howard Sterling Co. 4 piece brush and mirror set from the 1890s. This high relief, decorative personal grooming set consists of the 10 x 5" hand mirror with beveled glass, the 9-1/4 x 3" hair brush, the 5-5/8 x 1-3/4" small clothes or shoulder brush and the 7 x 2-1/2" large clothes brush. This vanity or dresser set matches, it has the Howard marks, STERLING, 925/1000 and a patent date of 1892 (PAT. '92.)...

Art Nouveau deep turquoise Czechoslovakian majolica porcelain centerpiece by Eichwald. One small old chip at foot (see last photo), it is considered to be in very good condition. The bottom is marked with "Eichwald". Measures 13.25 inches across and about 6 inches high. Circa 1910.

Victorian brooch or pin, a bunch of fruit an d flowers made up of Gutta Percha. This dark brown material, a predecessor of bakelite - was first introduced in the great Crystal Palace exhibition in 1851 and was often used in mourning jewelry pieces after the death of Queen Victoria’s husband, Prince Albert, in 1861. Made from the sap of a Malayan tree. Width " 1 ½ / 4 cm. Condition: a leaf or two missing under the biggest fruit (cf. pics).

Bakelite belt buckle. black and ivory colored, late Art Nouveau or Jugendstil design, c 1920. Not signed, possibly French. Height "2 ¼ / 6 and width "3 ¾ / 9.5 cm. Condition: fine.

An extremely large, beautiful, and fine English wine glass, elegant in its simplicity. The bucket bowl sits above a stem of the double series opaque twist type, which has a pair of spiral threads outside of a central gauze.

Conical foot with a rough pontil. Good color and tool marks, with no condition issues. The height is 7 5/8", with a bowl diameter of 3" and a foot diameter of 3 3/8". Glasses of this size are quite uncommon in this period.

This early very beautiful Civil War era capelet is a rich reddish brown calico made with the finest cotton fabric that looks like it might be homespun. The workmanship is the best. The capelet is 14” back of neck to bottom and is 10” front down to bottom and 24” spread out. Circa 1860 and excellent condition and Museum quality.

A hand wrought sterling silver desk set from F. Walter Lawrence, probably in collaboration with Gustav Manz. The desk pad measures about 22" by 15". Silver inkwell box measures about 5 1/2" by 3" by 3 1/4" and weighs over a pound without the glass inkwells. Silver pen tray measures 7 7/8" by 3 1/4". Signed on bottom of pen tray, as shown. Condition is very good, except for chips on the glass inkwells. Fine quality and rare.

Art Nouveau sterling silver picture frame. Made by William B. Kerr in Newark. Rectangular with beveled and acid-etched sides: Wraparound reading entwined with fluid foliate scrollwork. Shaped cartouche (vacant). With glass, silk lining, and velvet back and hinged support. Hallmark includes no. 4846. Very good condition.

Three child’s plates with moulded double daisy borders, transfer printed in black, Victorian, 1840’s. Impressed anchor mark and London, probably made by John Carr in Northumberland for a London retailer (cf. discussions on the internet about potteries using this mark in the early Victorian era). One plate with a lady and a little girl in a trellised garden, the other two plates with scenes from a series called Juvenile Companions. Diameter "8 ¼ / 21 cm. Condition: fine.

A very rare caneware tureen in the form of a cabbage with a mother rabbit and 3 bunnies peeking out of the lid. The cabbage with tureen rests on a matching plate. In very good antique condition, this item was actually used in its earlier days. Worth noting is that all the color in the rabbits eyes is still intact. Designed and potted by Ferdinand Burgard for Egmondville Pottery in Onterio, Canada, the underside of the tureen is impressed “10” and the letters “FB”. Dates circa 1850...

A very rare caneware basketweave tureen with a lid featuring 3 little biddies hatching from their eggs by William Schiller and Sons. Hand made Shaker table mat with multi colored field and a wide brown border. The mats were the product of left over scraps from the sewing rooms in Shaker communities. This mat is 13" by 15" and is in excellent condition. C. 1900

Antique true linen homespun table mat in a deep indigo blue and a natural unbleached white. The mat is 12" square and has just the slightest age discoloration in one corner, see photos. This is a wonderful very early example. Circa 1830

A faïence vase by Cantagalli with silverluster and blue decoration in the Hispano-Moresque or Ottoman style, c 1880-90. Ulysse Cantagalli, Florence, drew his inspiration from Arts and Crafts designers like William de Morgan, from Italian Renaissance and Islamic ceramics. Marked with the singing cockerel of the Cantagalli factory. Height "4 ¾ / 13 cm. Condition: mouth rim with two minimal glaze flakes, and a glaze burst near the foot rim (cf. pics).

Beautiful open salt, finely cut in diamond, fan and rib patterns. Probably made in Sweden c 1900 by Kosta or Reijmyre glassworks. Width "3/ 7.7 cm. Condition: fine.
