A rare early 18th century French porcelain figure after an early Japanese piece, Edo period. The 5" model of a seated boy holding a peach is beautifully enameled in the Imari palette. A fine addition to a historical porcelain collection.

There is some damage; the tip of the boy's tongue is missing, as is the tip of the little finger of his right hand. The left hand has been broken and repaired, three finger tips are missing. This may be seen in the sixth photograph.

A lovely cut glass perfume bottle cut from cranberry to clear. The design incorporates wide miters separated by combinations of fans, strawberry diamond and star motifs. The shoulders of the bottle are panel cut, and the base is finished with a 24-point star. The lapidary-cut stopper is original to the bottle and is engraved with the same number as the inside of the bottle's neck.

Origin: Europe, possibly Val St. Lambert, ca. 1900. Condition: excellent, no chips or cracks...

This marvelous piece of ancient pottery is an offering vessel, sometimes referred to as a "spirit jar", from roughly the Five Dynasties period (907-960 AD) of Classic Imperial China. These intriguing vessels first appeared to Western collectors around the turn of the century and were quite a delightful find. Appearing in the ruins of a long forgotten monastery near Kunming, hundreds of these jars were discovered in many sites in and around Yunnan...

This interesting little ceramic figure is purportedly from the Majapahit period (1293-1500)of Eastern Java. Possibly a religious figure, it is barefoot and has tribal head-dress and flowing robes. There does appear to be a light colored glaze underneath the surface dirt which I have not attempted to remove or clean. The statue is just under 20 cm in height and weighs 444 grams. This is a truly unique piece of ancient artwork, the likes of which we have not seen...

An Edwardian 15k Mother of Pearl 6 button set in original box circa 1900 1910. The antique mother-of-pearl shirt or vest buttons with 15k yellow gold criss-cross centers and loops (unmarked but tested) comes in the original presentation box/case. This set consists of the 5-1/4" x 1-3/8" dark brown leather-covered box with gold trim, containing six 9/16" across gold and mother-of-pearl buttons plus six gold plate over brass spiral button attachment loops...

This silver plate Meriden Britania Co. Number 202 napkin ring is a long tailed bird resting upon the stem of a large leaf,its tips creating the feet. The banded napkin ring holder has in its center a leaf design with the space for engraving. This space is engraved "Ella" very lightly and very small. The Japanning shows some wear and there is a bump to the side of the ring. It is hallmarked "Meriden" in a circle. Lots of detailing on this item.

This Acme silver Co. number 732 three cherries and leaves drape over one side of the napkin holder which has a leaf-shaped base. Sometimes this napkin holder will be marked Standard Silver Co., Ltd.

This napkin ring is 2 1/2" tall and is circa 1885. It is engraved with the name " Grace". It has wonderful patina.

A pair of Gorham sterling salt dishes with spoons dated 1889. This embossed pair of 19th century salt cellars are 2" in diameter and they feature floral embossing and scalloped rims; they are stamped with the lion/anchor/G Gorham mark, STERLING, 2235 (pattern number) with the Gorham 1889 year mark. The pair of 2-1/8" long sterling silver salt spoons also have the Gorham old hallmark with STERLING, and they are in the Colonial pattern by Gorham, which was introduced in 1885...

A Georgian English hand painted Imari dessert dish or platter circa 1800 1820. This 11-1/4" x 7-1/4" unmarked bowl features gold, orange, cobalt, teal, green and purple painted floral designs. Although it lacks an indent, it is possible that this is the platter that went beneath a tureen. It is 1-3/4" deep at the deepest point, so we are also calling it a s dish or shallow bowl...

A Roger Williams sterling footed openwork bowl circa 1905. This nice quality openwork sterling silver ball-footed bowl was made by the Roger Williams Silver Co.. They purchased the Howard Silver dies in 1901, merged with Mauser in 1903, then with Hays & McFarland Co. to found Mount Vernon Silversmiths. They were later bought by Gorham. This 6-3/8" x 4-3/4" ball footed dish is stamped I.R. PRINDLE (retailer) RW (Williams mark) STERLING and 7107 (pattern number)...

This Victorian napkin ring has 2 Oriental fans supporting the napkin holder, under which there is a butterfly- all mounted on a square, ball-footed base. It is hallmarked #208 with Meriden & Co in a circle.

This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in Germany by Nymphenburg in the 1890's. The shield mark is under the glaze in a blue green used in the 19th century. The saucer has a diameter of 3 1/4 inches and the cup is 1 7/8 inches high. The saucer is deeper than usual and the cup is can shaped. The set is decorated with tiny garlands of flowers and leaves. They are painstakingly hand painted in miniature. The handle of the cup is gilded...

This porcelain coffee cup and saucer was produced in England by Minton around 1870...

A 19thC English hand painted china cann or child's mug. This unmarked English china handpainted 2-5/8" tall cann (some of these canns are inscribed and given as a baby's or child's mug) features beautifully painted floral bouquets on the front and a smaller version on the back; it has green trim along the rim. A very nice Nanking Chinese export porcelain plate. The blue decoration is finely worked and the body color is excellent.

This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in England by Spode Copeland in the late 19th century. The saucer has a diameter of 4 5/8 inches and the cup is 2 1/8 inches high. The set is made of fine, white bone china. The decoration on this set is so elegant. It has red and green enamel jewels along with raised gold beading and decorations. The rims and handle are trimmed with bright, shiny gold. It has the appearance of jewelry. Condition: Excellent
