This Zeh Scherzer & Co. vase bears the portrait of Louise, Queen of Prussia ( March 10, 1776- July 19, 1810) She is admired for unflinching courage in which she bore the sufferings on her and her family during the war between Prussia and France. A pair of blue and white, transfer printed tea bowls, c 1820. The exterior with putti and lions playing, the interior with a stylized leaf and flower border. Height "2¼/ 5,5 cm, diameter "3¼/ 8,5 cm. Condition: minimal nicks to foot rims, one bowl with a nick to upper rim.

A wonderful American folk art portrait of a Methodist minister painted by Ammi Phillips (1788–1865). The distinguished gentleman is sitting at a table, with his hand holding a pair of spectacles and resting on a Methodist hymnal. The finely rendered depiction of the large dominating figure with dark clothing emphasizes the gravitas of the sitter.

The painting is 32 5/8 inches by 27 1/4 inches sight size, and 37 7/8 inches by 32 3/4 inches framed size...

A very good late 19th - early 20th century Tibetan ewer, crafted of thin, hand-worked sheets of what is probably some type of brass/bronze amalgam that has acquired a rich chocolate patina over time, with deep repousse and chasing techniques forming the decorative bands along the shoulder, neck, and lid of vessel, a well-formed makara shaped spout and handle, all atop a splayed footed base...

This porcelain tray was produced in France by Haviland Limoges around 1900. We believe that the porcelain blank was sold white ware to a decorator who hand painted it. The tray measures 11 1/8 inches long and 8 3/4 inches wide. The porcelain blank has a scalloped edge. The ground color blends from deep green, to teal green to yellow.
