This porcelain plate was produced in Germany by Meissen in the 1860s. It is first quality and has the under-glaze crossed swords marking. The plate has a diameter of 10 inches and is 1 1/2 inches deep. It has an elaborate reticulated border that extends 1 1/2 inches into the plate. The center of the plate has a cobalt blue ground. There is a reserve hand painted with peasant women and a sheep in a detailed landscape. The reserve is framed by an ornate gilded cartouche...

A marked Meissen match safe from the late 19th century for those matches that were struck on any rough surface. The rough surface is on the inside of the top. The box is a rectangle with cut corners and curved sides. The outside of the top is stepped with blue bands marking each step to the flat top, the sides of the lower portion curve inward to a low foot. The crossed swords on the bottom in underglaze blue are typical late 19th century...

Porcelain decanter in the shape of a bellhop, complete with his ring of keys, decorated with overglaze red, black and pink enamels. The bottom is marked "Germany" and also has a decorator's mark.

Origin: Germany, ca. 1920. Condition: Light glaze crazing; a small chip on the cap and three small flakes at the bottom edge are visible in the photos (all could be easily repaired). Size: 9-1/2" tall.

This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in England by Copelands China in 1851. It is made of fine bone china. The saucer has a diameter of 5 inches and the cup is 2 ½ inches high. The set is hand painted in French Sevres style. There are bowers of light turquoise leaves hanging from the rim of the cup. Bunches of colorful flowers fill the space beneath. They are painted in exquisite detail and vivid colors. The use of space and depth is uncommon...

The Simpson Hall Miller repousse "roses" sugar and creamer have the number 170 on the base of each.

The open sugar has a mouth opening of 3 1/4", the creamer 2 1/2". The open sugar is 2 3/4" tall, the creamer2 1/8".

They are in good condition.

A Victorian Oak Wood Tantalus, with three Bottles a Brass Frame and with a Working Lock and Key. Stamped "Mappin and Webb Oxford Street London". Circa 1880-1890. Dimension; 16.5" x 6" x 13" high to handle; total weight approximately 17.5 pounds; bottles approximately 4.4 pounds each. Slight chips on the base of stoppers and on edge of one bottle; Not noticeable. Also two of the brass corners at the base are split (see picture).

This porcelain coffee cup and saucer was produced in Vienna in the 1880s. The beehive mark is under the glaze. The saucer has a diameter of 51/2 inches and the cup is 2 1/4 inches high. The ground color is a deep forest green. There is a reserve on the cup with a hand painted scene. It is artist signed “Horan” and the scene is entitled, “Amor am Pranger” or Love Contained. The goddess Diana has Cupid tied to a tree. The scene is framed in elaborate raised gilding...

Antique second half of the 19th century Bohemian hand-blown clear cut-glass decanter and stopper made for the Middle Eastern, Persian and Ottoman market. Body of bulbous form with long neck applied with three faceted rings, cut with leaf-shaped panels of hobnail, leaves and diamonds, enamelled with blossom and scrolls and gold gilt, with spire stopper. Base with a ground down pontil mark.

This pair of porcelain vases was produced in England by Mintons in the 1870s. The vases measure 8 ¾ inches high and are 4 inches in diameter. The ground color shades from turquoise blue to cream color. The decorations are hand enameled. The style is aesthetic, inspired by the Asian cultures. Weeping vines of wisteria, prunus blossoms and Japanese mons are painted in heavy gold and platinum enamel. The shoulders of the vases have a collar of raised gold decorations...

Japonesque sterling silver and mixed metal water pitcher. Made by Tiffany & Co. in New York, ca 1885. Globular body, straight neck, and c-scroll handle. Allover honeycomb hand hammering. Applied flowers, leafing tendrils, and butterflies. A restrained design with graceful plant and insect motifs. Fully marked including pattern no. 3077 and phrase “Sterling silver and other metals”. Very good condition.

Lovely pique pansy pendant can be worn with a gold or silver chain. Pique, tortoiseshell inlaid with gold and silver, was developed in France and became popular in England in the late 19th century.

A blue and white parian pitcher with raised oak leaves and acorns and a “branch” handle and spout. The oak portions in white against a textured blue painted ground. Marked on the underside with the U.S. Pottery Company ribbon mark with “No. 16.” and the number 12. This mark used in the 1850’s. 8 5/8 inches tall and 6 ¾ inches across handle and spout.

Condition: no chips or repairs, but a crack in the base of the handle.

A Limoges Soup Tureen by Charles Field Haviland, Decorated in Green and Gold. CFH/GDM Mark 2,3 for Charles Field Haviland and Gerard, Dufraisseix, and Morel. Period 1891-1900. Dimensions; 9.5" in diameter x 7" high to lid. Excellent condition.

Lovely ribbed opaque glass biscuit jar with large applied glass flower on front. The frame needs resilvering, but the rest of the jar is in perfect condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. It measures 8" tall to the top of the handle x 5 1/4" diameter on the bottom.
