5218-21: English, Bilston, late 18th century, patch box these memento boxes were popular at the end of the eighteenth century and frequently given as tokens of friendship and love. Usually oval in shape, but also circular and rectangular, there decoration reflected the popular styles of the day. For example, by the 1790s Neoclassical style swags, doves, hearts, and borders were the most commonly used decoration of the day. This box reads "Unity is the bond of society."

A very handsome sterling silver gravy ladle in John R. Wendt’s “Medallion” pattern. Wendt’s version was one of the earliest designs to use classical profiles as the primary decorative element. The medallion, depicting the goddess Pallas Athena, is supported by a reeded stem that leads to the oval bowl with flared edges. The back is stamped with the retailer’s mark for D. H. Buell & Co., and with the “925” that is often found on early Wendt pieces.

Beautiful handpainted biscuit jar, either Moser or Mt. Joye, decorated with a large iris on the front and smaller one on the back. It is in perfect condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. The handle and lid, although they look good, could use resilvering. It measures 7 1/2" tall to the top of the lid x 5" in diameter.

Dramatic and rare Georgian 18K gold and agate navette shaped ring revealing endless variations of the moss agate stone. Navette means "little ship", and shaped like a pointed oval. Agate is a variety of quartz that occurs naturally in nature and during the period that this ring was made, were mined in Scotland. An English sterling pierced mint or candy basket dated 1907. This attractive, well-made Edwardian sterling silver mint dish or basket is fully hallmarked for Birmingham, England 1907. This 5" x 2-3/4" dish features fine openwork, it has an L&S maker's mark (for Levi and Salaman, and 1907 registry number. It weighs 32.1 grams, and it is in excellent original condition with no dents, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than a very slight bend on one edge at the end...

A hand painted Limoges large roses centerpiece or fruit bowl dated 1903. This wonderfully handpainted 10-3/8" across bowl stands 4" high and 8-1/2" deep, it has a handle on one side, and the painting is of very high quality for a painted blank. Typical in this era, china painting was very popular and some very talented pieces were produced by home amateurs...

Austrian Rococo silver candle snuffer, 1827. Hinged with flower-head mount and flat vertical blade that fits into rectangular box with curved and lobed top. Ring handles on s-scroll mounts. Three baluster supports. Marks include year and alloy, which is 13 loths (that is 812 silver). Very good condition. Dimensions: H 6 1/2 x W 2 1/4 x D 1 5/8 in.

American Brilliant Cut period Glass Dessert Bowl, Ca. 1920, 2 1/4" high, 4 3/4" diameter, deep brilliant cut crystal bowl. The condition is good, no damage.

This pair of crystal compotes was made in England by Stevens & Williams around 1900. They measure 6 inches tall and the openings have a diameter of 5 3/4 inches. They are hand blown from clear crystal that varies from thicker areas to very thin. This type of crystal is often referred to as “rock crystal.” It imitated the mineral stone used by the Chinese.
