Art Noveau red cameo glass stick vase by French designer Emile Galle. The color is an unusual off white with a red overlay. It is a wonderful feeling hold and study a vase made by such a great and innovative designer. In excellent antique condition, it measures 5.5 inches high and approximately 4" in diameter at widest.

An attractive 18th century English porcelain teabowl and saucer, made by one of the Liverpool factories. Excellent condition with no problems. The saucer is 4 3/4" in diameter, with the bowl being 3" in diameter and 1 3/4" in height.

English Georgian Mahogany Cutlery Tray or Box with Brass handle, Ca. 1820's, 13 1/4" x 9" wide, 5 1/4" high with brass handle, dovetail joint on four(4) corners, joints and brass handle is very tight in good condition except some dark stains.

A besutiful and exceptional old Sheffield standish, the tray ornately wrought with scallop shell and foliage motifs, raised on 4 curving feet with similar work. Within the tray are the following separate components: two silver square ink bottle holders, two heavy cut glass ink bottles; two silver ink bottle lids, a round silver chamberstick holder, a silver chamberstick wrought with groove and scallop designs, a silver bobeche for the chamberstick, and a silver snuffer...

A fine example of a coffee can made by the Seth Pennington Liverpool factory. The pattern, known as the "Scolding Woman" shows two polychrome Chinoiserie figures along with a large tree and rockwork.

The condition is superb, with no flaws and looking factory fresh. The height is 2 1/2" and the diameter is 2 1/4".

Sterling silver tastevin made in Paris in the early 19th century, the handle decorated with a little bunch of grapes and leaves. One half with convex and concave indentations and the other godrooned, a classic and functional design showing the colour of the wine. There are three hallmarks: to the exterior a male head in profile right for Paris, introduced 1819, and a worn insect mark (“bigorne” mark), the interior with the Paris guarantee mark of a Dionysian head in profile left...

An excellent example of an uncommon form, a Lowestoft hand painted butter boat, showing two houses on an island and with a lattice border on the leaf-shaped piece, and with an angular stalk handle. Retains the label of Rod Jellicoe, a well-known dealer in English porcelain.

A pair of Napoleon III green-cased cut crystal perfume or cologne bottles by Cristalleries de Saint Louis. This are small red boiled wool mittens, hand sewn and 3" long. They are from the 1890-1910. In very good condition and amazing they are still together.

With the mark last used in 1896 by F M Whiting to be changed to Frank M Whiting Co of North Attleboro MA, one finds this sterling silver bypass napkin ring or could it double as a baby bracelet? Six dessert or salad bowls of square shape, pinched. Iridescent and all with a swirl except for one which is more iridescent than the rest. Early 20th century, Art Nouveau and probably Czech, by Loetz. Polished pontils. Height appr. "2 / 5 cm, width (diagonally) "5 / 12.5 cm. Condition: fine.

A nice wine glass with an ogee bowl engraved with flowers and foliage. The stem is of the double series opaque twist type, containing a multiple spiral band around a central 4-ply central column of heavy spiral threads.

Lead metal with a conical foot with a rough, snapped pontil. The glass is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, cloudiness, or restoration. Good color, striations, and tooling marks. The height is 5 5/8" with a bowl diameter of 1 7/8" and a foot diameter of 2 3/8".

A charming metal artist's trade sign mounted under glass in a fine period wood frame. Obviously done to showcase his skill, it shows a palette with brushes resting in the thumb hole along with flowers, additional flowers and a bird outside of the palette.

The sign and the frame with its original backboard are in excellent condition. Sight size 13 1/2" by 9 1/2", and a framed size of 17" by 12 1/2".

A fine example of an English porcelain coffee can, made by the Richard Chaffers & Co. manufactory in Liverpool. As to be expected, and as it should be, the soapstone based body resembles that of Worcester.

This particular piece is decorated with a variation of the "Scarlet Japan" pattern, and shows bright colors and careful painting. The condition is excellent, with no chips, cracks, restoration, or other problems. The height is 2 1/4" and the diameter is 2 1/8".

A superb English sweetmeat glass of elegant form, the flared double ogee bowl with moulded flutes leading into a moulded stem with a flattened shoulder knop and 5 basal collars above a spiral molded domed foot.

This fine example stands 6 1/8 inches tall, with a bowl diameter of 3 3/4 inches and a foot diameter of 3 1/4 inches. Perfect condition with wonderful color and tooling marks. Rough, snapped pontil.

A rare Worcester porcelain coffee can, tapering slightly toward the base and molded with corrugated ribs above a finely scalloped foot, the lobed rim with a slight flare, and the double scroll handle with a pointed thumbrest. Painted in the Chinese style with flowering plants, the border with half-flowerheads linked by a red line above leafy tendrils.

Art Nouveau glass and sterling silver inkwell. Made by Gorham in Providence. Rectilinear clear glass block bulbous well. Sides have carved ornament: Fluid scrollwork and stylized flowers. Short neck in sterling silver collar surrounded by squarish same mount and hinged cover. Engraved interlaced script monogram and interlaced scrolls, flowers, and leaves. Hallmark includes no. D788. Very good condition.

A fine and early Worcester sweetmeat, the open shell curled over at one side, the undulating rim strongly shaded in green with a yellow inner border to the green. Painted in the Meissen style with a central flower spray surrounded by scattered smaller sprays.

Superb bright condition with no issues at all. The length is 4 3/4", the width 5 1/4", and the height 1 3/4".

NOTE: A similar dish, in a more common color, sparser painting, and with wear sold at the Bonham's sale in March, 2010.

A fine Georgian double series opaque twist (dsot) ale glass with an elongated round funnel bowl engraved with hops and barley, the stem with a pair of spiral threads outside of a lace twist. For a similar glass see Bickerton p.226, figure 683.

The glass stands 7 1/2 inches tall, with a bowl diameter of 2 3/8 inches and a foot diameter of 3 inches. Good color, striations, and tool marks, with a rough snapped pontil. Wonderful condition with no flaws or restoration.

DESCRIPTION: Beautiful melon-shaped split oak basket with a sturdy bentwood handle and oak-wrapped wide rim. This early 1900’s folk art basket is in great condition with no major losses noted. DIMENSIONS: 18" long x 14.5" wide; height with handle is 13.75", without is 8.75".

A beautiful Longton Hall bowl, decorated with polychrome flowers, most likely done by the Trembly Rose painter. Very fine condition with fresh colors, no cracks, paint loss, or restoration. The diameter is 4 3/8" and the height is 2".

An iridescent magenta and orange ciselé vase, pinched. Bohemian, Loetz or Kralik, made around 1900. Height "4 ½ / 11 cm. Polished pontil, unmarked. Condition: a small bubble near the line of the wooden mold and a nick to the mouth rim (cf. pics).

A faïence vase by Cantagalli with silverluster and blue decoration in the Hispano-Moresque or Ottoman style, c 1880-90. Ulysse Cantagalli, Florence, drew his inspiration from Arts and Crafts designers like William de Morgan, from Italian Renaissance and Islamic ceramics. Marked with the singing cockerel of the Cantagalli factory. Height "4 ¾ / 13 cm. Condition: mouth rim with two minimal glaze flakes, and a glaze burst near the foot rim (cf. pics).

Antique true linen homespun table mat in a deep indigo blue and a natural unbleached white. The mat is 12" square and has just the slightest age discoloration in one corner, see photos. This is a wonderful very early example. Circa 1830

Hand made Shaker table mat with multi colored field and a wide brown border. The mats were the product of left over scraps from the sewing rooms in Shaker communities. This mat is 13" by 15" and is in excellent condition. C. 1900

A very rare caneware basketweave tureen with a lid featuring 3 little biddies hatching from their eggs by William Schiller and Sons. In very good antique condition, this item was actually used in its earlier days. Worth noting is that some of the original pale blue color still remains on the eggshells. Designed and potted by W. A very rare caneware tureen in the form of a cabbage with a mother rabbit and 3 bunnies peeking out of the lid. The cabbage with tureen rests on a matching plate. In very good antique condition, this item was actually used in its earlier days. Worth noting is that all the color in the rabbits eyes is still intact. Three child’s plates with moulded double daisy borders, transfer printed in black, Victorian, 1840’s. Impressed anchor mark and London, probably made by John Carr in Northumberland for a London retailer (cf. discussions on the internet about potteries using this mark in the early Victorian era). A hand wrought sterling silver desk set from F. Walter Lawrence, probably in collaboration with Gustav Manz. The desk pad measures about 22" by 15". Silver inkwell box measures about 5 1/2" by 3" by 3 1/4" and weighs over a pound without the glass inkwells. Silver pen tray measures 7 7/8" by 3 1/4". Signed on bottom of pen tray, as shown. Condition is very good, except for chips on the glass inkwells. Fine quality and rare.

This early very beautiful Civil War era capelet is a rich reddish brown calico made with the finest cotton fabric that looks like it might be homespun. The workmanship is the best. The capelet is 14” back of neck to bottom and is 10” front down to bottom and 24” spread out. Circa 1860 and excellent condition and Museum quality.

Victorian brooch or pin, a bunch of fruit an d flowers made up of Gutta Percha. This dark brown material, a predecessor of bakelite - was first introduced in the great Crystal Palace exhibition in 1851 and was often used in mourning jewelry pieces after the death of Queen Victoria’s husband, Prince Albert, in 1861. Made from the sap of a Malayan tree. Width " 1 ½ / 4 cm. Condition: a leaf or two missing under the biggest fruit (cf. pics).

Art Nouveau deep turquoise Czechoslovakian majolica porcelain centerpiece by Eichwald. One small old chip at foot (see last photo), it is considered to be in very good condition. The bottom is marked with "Eichwald". Measures 13.25 inches across and about 6 inches high. Circa 1910.

This high relief, decorative personal grooming set consists of the 10 x 5" hand mirror with beveled glass, the 9-1/4 x 3" hair brush, the 5-5/8 x 1-3/4" small clothes or shoulder brush and the 7 x 2-1/2" large clothes brush. This vanity or dresser set matches, it has the Howard marks, STERLING, 925/1000 and a patent date of 1892 (PAT. '92.).
