This porcelain ink well with tray was produced in Germany by Nymphenburg in the late 19th century. There is an impressed Nymphenburg shield mark on the bottom of the tray. These 6 porcelain demitasse cups and saucers were produced in France in the 1890s. They have a spurious Sevres mark but were most likely decorated by a Paris porcelain firm. The saucers have a diameter of 3 3/4 inches and the cups are 2 inches high. The cups have a puffy, blown-out shape. The set is decorated with an elaborate raised gold pattern in two color gold. This porcelain egg cup was produced in Germany by Meissen between 1890 and 1910. It is 2 5/8 inches high and the opening has a diameter of 1 3/4 inches. It is made of the finest hard paste porcelain ever produced. It is expertly hand painted with a lovely spray of vividly colored flowers. An unusual foil, or tinsel, painting depicting two birds hovering over a large flowering plant. The painting is done basically in tones of taupe and green. The frame is period and is most likely original. The back is sealed with paper that appears to have been a student's calligraphy practice.
