Chinese silver mug, ca 1865. Straight and upward tapering sides with dense low-relief frieze: Spearmen and swordsmen on foot and horse thrust and lunge and, in some cases, fall in battle. Applied armorial shield with engraved presentation dated “May 4th 1865”. S-scroll handle in form of scaly dragon with horned head peering over rim. Marked. Very good condition with deep patina.

These 6 porcelain plates were produced in England by Coalport in 1818. There are no markings on any of these plates but the pattern with the embossed design is documented to have come from Coalport. The plates measure 7 1/2 inches in diameter. They are made of fine, hard paste porcelain. The plates have embossed floral decoration in high relief. These flowers are outlined with gold. Presented is this beautiful, iridescent Loetz glass lamp. The glass is in Loetz's 'Ausfuhrung 226' decor (please refer to page 263 of Ricke's book, Loetz Bohemian Glass 1880-1940' for this decor). The lamp is 17 1/2 inches (44,5 cm) tall to the bulb-holder and has an 8-inch (20 cm) square base. The glass part is 10 inches (25 cm) tall and 5 3/4 inches (14,5 cm) wide at the top. Fabulous hard paste porcelain inkwell in the form of a lady's head. Nicely decorated in overglaze enamels with gilt accents. 19th century. Origin: Probably France. Size: 2-5/16" tall. Condition: Mint.

Rare complete single bag (small saddlebag or large chanteh) from the Luri-Bakhtiyari tribes of West Persia, last quarter of the 19th Century. This rare weaving measures 19.5" by 17" and is in nearly mint condition, with full pile and complete piled closure system, tassels and original side finishes. All dyes are natural, including a great purple and apricot. Nice flatweave back with patterning in weft wrap technique typical of Luri/Bakhtiyari work.

Turn-of-the-century Art Nouveau glass vase by historic maker Loetz with engraved silver overlay. Cylindrical with bellied top and bottom, and short inset neck. Overlay in form of open and horizontal pattern with stylized leaves and scrollwork. Glass is Titania pattern with shaded streaky green in vertical leaf arrangement. Silver marked “Sterling”. A charming example of Abraham Parsell's ability to capture the essential characteristic of a sitter and portray them in a wonderful naïve manner. In the miniature portrait presented here we have a young man with striking blue eyes and a mound of curly hair. He is attired in a dark brown jacket, black vest, and white tie and shirt.

The condition of the painting is excellent, with no cracks, chips, bowing, fading, etc...
