This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in England by Doulton Burslem in 1893. It was presented at the 1893 Chicago World's Fair and is marked as such. The saucer has a diameter of 4 1/2 inches and the cup is 2 inches high. The porcelain is fine white bone china. It has molded decoration in the porcelain and the edges are slightly scalloped. The ground color is done in gold and ivory tones. There are colorful bouquets of flowers hand painted on both pieces...

A fine mid-19th century pressed glass paperweight in the form of a recumbent lion resting on an opaque glass base. The lion is beautifully detailed and finished in a frosted surface. This lion is similar to one produced by Gillinder for the 1876 Centennial Exposition, but it is much more finely made. The underside of the black base is impressed “490”.

Origin: probably America, ca. 1870...

This porcelain plate was produced in Germany by the Royal Berlin Porcelain Manufacturer or KPM in 1911. The impressed date letter indicates this year. The plate measures 9 inches in diameter. It has a 1 1/2 inch border of the most delicate reticulated work. It has the appearance of the finest lace. The pattern of lattice work and flowers is outlined in gold.
