Davis' work is present, from the materials used to the composition, to the painting technique. An elegant set of 12 sterling silver oyster forks in Dominick & Haff’s desirable 1880 “Kings” pattern. The handles are decorated in the Georgian style with scroll, acanthus and shell motifs. The backs are decorated to match the fronts. The tines are heavier than most cocktail/seafood forks. The backs are stamped with Dominick & Haff’s hallmark.

A very rare set of six sterling silver demitasse spoons in the "Holly & Mistletoe" pattern by Tiffany & Co. This is a more ornate variant of the company's more common "Holly" pattern. The handles are decorated on both sides with holly and mistletoe foliage and mistletoe berries. The elongated bowls have notched shoulders and are parcel-gilt. The spoons are fully hallmarked and have the date letter used 1873-91...

This is a set of 12 dainty Dresden flower bread and butter plates, with the mark of Helena Wolfson, ca. 1886-1891, with Deutsche blumen, shaped gilt rims and a fabulous raised swirl surface. Condition: excellent; some paint losses on the swirl ridges.Measurement: 5" dia.

Bears the Markings for "Hunt and Roskell" late "Storr & Mortimer", the Successor Firm to Paul Storr. John Samuel Hunt was Paul Storr's Nephew by Marriage. A pretty Victorian sterling silver berry or preserves spoon in Towle’s 1887 “Clover” pattern. Both the handle and bowl are decorated with bright-cut engraving of clover flowers and foliage. The bowl has a scalloped upper border, repoussed lobes, and matte gilding. The back is marked with Towle’s hallmark and the patent date.

A large ceramic charger with a yellow and black rim enclosing an elaborate scene depicting a version of, “The Toilet of Venus.” Participants include a partially clad Venus, plenty of putti, satyrs, a couple of unclad men and a pair of panthers. Venus is the center of attention. For a very rough comparison, Francesco Albini depicted the subject in 1621 in a painting now at the Louvre. This piece dates to the late 19th century...

Beautifully made Amphora pitcher with unusual organic overtones. This great piece is handpainted with gold thistle and glue and gray and lighe purple overtones. It is in perfect condition and measures ll" tall x 7" wide

Circa 1870, brown transferware platter, Staffordshire Nanking pattern, by E. Challinor. In very good condition, there is some crazing commensurate with age and some staining, most notably on the back. Measures about 18 inches long, 14" high, and 1.5" deep. Hanger included.

A 'mirror' pair of antique 19th Century pottery greyhounds (each holding a hare) made in Staffordshire circa 1860 - 1870. Condition: excellent. 19cm (7.5 inches) high; 20cm (8 inches) long.

From the latter half of the 19th century, this beautifully proportioned iron vane graced the spire of the United Baptist Church in Ellsworth, Maine. In 1933, a major fire swept through the town, burning many of the buildings, including the church. When the church was finally rebuilt, the council wanted a more modern look, and stored the vane in the basement, where it remained for the next 70 years or so...
