This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in Germany around 1900. Saxe was the name used on products Charles Ahrenfeldt exported from Germany for American retailers. The saucer has a diameter of 4 1/2 inches and the cup is 2 inches high. There is a cartouche on the front of the cup that has hand painted exotic birds. There are rings of cornflowers and bands of gilding. The rims and handle are trimmed with gold. Condition: Excellent

A small (4" by 2 3/4" by 2 3/4") tin box of the style common in the circa 1840's period in the northeastern states, the green and red hand painted design on the front remaining, but most of the other paint worn away----some remains in a few spots. These boxes, most larger than this particular example, likely held important papers or other keepsakes. They were made of tin and evidently were part of many households of the period. This example was purchased in Concord, New Hampshire...

This crystal wine glass was produced in Europe in the late 19th century. It is unsigned and the maker is not known. It is made of hand blown crystal with a hand cut stem. The color is greenish amber. The glass is decorated with ornate gilding. Condition: Excellent

Victorian letter opener made of a deer hoof with a hinged bone opener. The Victorian era often used organic materials for jewelry and objects, including desk accessories. Handsome hexagonal faceted glass paperweight featuring a detailed frost intaglio of a lion pressed into the base. The New England Glass Company made several different types of intaglio paperweights, and this piece is possibly an example of the company's work.

Pair of wonderful cotton knit striped socks the heal hand worked. The colors and mustard yellow, blue and white stripes. Some of the hand sewing in the heal is lose or is partly out. No holes and I doubt they have been worn much at all. 28" long and circa 1880

Made with a loop for suspension from an epergne, a table decorative centerpiece, or a mount in an automobile, these 6-3/4" long unsigned vases measure 2-1/2" across the opening; they are in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks, losses, damage or repairs...

A Georgian Scottish King's pattern sterling sauce ladle 1818. This George III period 6-1/8" sterling silver sauce ladle is fully hallmarked for Edinburgh, Scotland 1818. This ladle has the maker's mark of Andrew Wilkie (est. 1813). It weighs 28.0 grams, it has a a DJC monogram, and it is in excellent antique condition with no dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs...

A Hand Blown Barber Scent Bottle with Swirls and Hand Painted Florals. Dimensions; 8" high, 10.75" high including stopper. Circa 1890 and in excellent condition.

Terrific pair of sterling silver sugar tongs dating to the reign of George III. The design (made by cutting reflective facets in the silver) is very nicely executed on this quality piece, and unlike many Georgian tongs, these are quite heavy.

The tongs are marked with the lion passant and the script hallmark "GS" for George Smith, entered in London in 1782...

A Pair of Open Salts in Sterling Silver By Gorham, with a pair of Salt Spoons by Lunt (Rogers, Lunt & Boylan mark). The date mark for Gorham is 1919 and the dimensions are 2.5" x 1.5" x 1" high.

A Christofle Silver Plate Double Lipped Punch Ladle in the Georgian Style; Length 14.5"; circa 1890. Excellent condition.

An antique watercolor painting of an early Maine farm house with out buildings. It is a modest setting but with a very neat and tidy welcoming look. It is 6 by 9" and with mat and frame is 9 3/4" by 13". It show lines where is was folded at one time. I have not had it out of the frame. ( I bought this in an estate sale in Maine so I am assuming it is Maine but it doesn't have to be.)

A fine example of high quality silver plated tableware by Ellis-Barker (or Barker-Ellis) of England. This 11" x 7-3/4" tray or bowl has two cutout handles, a pierced gallery and high relief grape and vine decoration on the edge...

An unusually nice silverplated studs box, the top decorated with repousse chrysanthemums. The only clue to the box’s purpose of holding a gentleman’s shirt studs and cufflinks is the figural stud finial on the top. The bottom is marked for the Middletown Plate Co. This is a much more decorative example than most.

Origin: America, 1876-99. Condition: excellent, hardly any wear to the plating. Size; 2-5/8” diameter; 1-3/4” tall.

A very fine twig basket, dating from the late 19th or early 20th century. It was found in Pennsylvania, and is painted black, with the border and edge decoration painted in green, yellow, and orange over the black. The interior central portion of the basket is painted in green.

The basket is 8 5/8" in diameter and 4" tall. Condition is terrific, with no breaks...

This demitasse cup, saucer and dessert plate was produced in France by Haviland Limoges before 1900. The plate has a diameter of 7 1/2 inches, the saucer is 4 5/8 inches in diameter and the cup is 2 inches high. The plate and saucer are scalloped with a ripple molded into the border. The cup has a shape like a clover. The three pieces are decorated with a floral transfer that trails across each piece in art nouveau style. The rims are trimmed with a double gold band...

Two pairs of plates with underglaze blue transfer decoration of a woman holding a tray of cakes with a child pulling at her dress and an oriental jardinière to one side surrounded with an elaborate floral swagged border. The smaller are more like shallow bowls than like plates. These two are porcelain and both marked with Hilditch and Sons mark for the period 1822-1830. The larger plates have overglaze lustre highlights and are not porcelain...
