This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in England by Davenport between 1850 and 1870. The mark is impressed on the bottom of the saucer. The saucer is 4 7/8 inches in diameter. The cup is 1 3/4 inches tall with a diameter of 3 inches. It is made of fine bone china. The decoration is inspired by the Asian Imari pattern. A Staffordshire plate stenciled, cut sponge decorated and hand painted with the three rabbits, the frog, the clouds and grasses stenciled in brown in the center of the plate within a blue line, surrounded by hand painted red flowers, green leaves and blue cut sponge flowers contained within a red line on the rim. This is an antique ecclesiastical illustrated manuscript, in Latin, from earlier centuries, commonly called an "antiphonal" or simply an antique manuscript. These are normally seen as hand painted manuscripts on vellum (animal skin). The present example (21" by 13" inside the mats, 26" by 19" framed) is a rather typical example, with generally brown/sepia lettering, and a few capital letters and other letters in colors (red, and blue)...

A wonderful and special Worcester Barr Flight Barr campana vase with snake handles, beautifully painted with a scene marked on the base as "Ruins of Bayham Abbey Church." The reverse of the scene with a salmon ground and having detailed urn and foliage gilding. The rim of the body proper and the top of the supporting column with faux pearls. The bottom also inscribed with "Barr Flight & Barr Worcester Manufac' to Their Majesties."

The vase is 6" tall and 6" wide across the handles...

This porcelain bowl was produced in Germany by the Royal Berlin Porcelain Manufacturer, or KPM, in 1918. The markings include the iron cross used for that year. The bowl measures 11 1/2 inches in diameter and 6 1/4 inches high. It has a wonderful shape, not round but blown out in four corners, although the bowl is basically round. An English wine glass featuring a pointed round funnel bowl with a solid teared base above a short plain stem section above a ball knop topping a four-sided molded pedestal stem. Lead glass. Conical foot with folded rim. Rough pontil.

Fine condition with no issues, standing 5 1/2" tall with a bowl diameter of 2 3/8" and a foot diameter of 2 5/8". Good color and striations. The glass has museum and collection labels and marks on the foot, all easiy removed if desired.

Turn-of-the-century sterling silver baby set rich in period assumptions. Made by William B. Kerr in Newark. This set comprises cup, bowl, and plate.

Cup has acid-etched frieze depicting sailor-suited, flag-holding, all-American boy with exotic coevals in native dress relegated to background. Imagery enhanced with verse: “Little Indian, Sioux or Crow, little frosty Eskimo, little Turk or Japanese—Oh! Don’t you wish that you were me?”

Turn-of-the-century German Rococo 800 silver box. Rectilinear with tapering sides and chamfered corners with scroll supports. Cover hinged, raised, and inset. Chased ornament with chubby, bare bottomed cherubs with adroitly arranged drapery surrounded by garlands and and Classical architecture. Gilt-washed interior. Marks include Hanau maker’s stamp (Storck & Sinsheimer). Very good condition.

Large Russian Classical 875 silver bowl, ca 1843. Oval well with engraved armorial and curved and fluted sides with applied scroll and shell armorials (vacant). Rim has applied leaves, scrolls, and scallop shells. Fully marked including Adolf Sper maker’s stamp, St Petersburg city stamp, and Dimitri Tverskoy assay master’s stamp dated 1843. Very good condition.

Early 1800's petit point embroidery of a young girl holding a bird. Protected under glass in an oval frame it is in remarkably good condition with the colors still being vibrant. Measures in frame 10.75" high x 8.5" across.
