This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in England by Royal Crown Derby before 1906. There are date ciphers for 1904 on the saucer and 1906 on the cup. Georgian rose diamond cluster ring set in silver with an 18K gold embossed band. Rings of this period are very scarce and hard to find in such wonderful condition. This is a real collector's piece. The ring is size 6 and can be sized to fit.

Dating from the early 1700s before Meissen starting using their cross swords logo is this very rare Meissen porcelain cameo vase. The applied bisque cameo features the goddess Venus looking into a mirror. In very good antique condition, the only evidence of age is wear to the gold gilt. We have not attempted to clean the vase. Measures 9 inches high, about 4.5" diameter at widest.

Elegant sterling silver footed basket with flaring, reticulated sides and a hoop handle. The swirling pattern of the piercing echoes the basket's scalloped rim. The top of the handle has a reserve for a monogram, but was never monogramed. The bottom has Durgin's early hallmark and the retailer's mark "Hodson, Kennard & Co." Many of Durgin's earlier products were sold through such upscale Boston retailers.

Superb ornate Victorian sterling silver soup ladle in the 1882 "Aeolian" pattern by Knowles. This is just a terrific pattern--easily on par with Gorham, Whiting or any of the other great Victorian silversmiths. The handle is ornately decorated with trailing fuchsias and foliage. The bowl is formed as a large leaf with very nice engraved details. The bowl is matte finished for added texture. The back is hallmarked by Knowles.

Ceramic or porcelain, this is a shallow bowl that might have been used for serving foods, measuring at the extreme dimensions 12 3/4" by 8 3/4" by 2" deep. This pair of porcelain bottles with stoppers was produced in Germany by Lamm Dresden in the late 19th century. They are 5 inches high, including the stoppers. The porcelain bodies have flowers and scallops molded into them. They are hand painted with buttercup flowers and foliage. There is a blue butterfly on each bottle. American decorated heavy porcelain ice-water pitcher. The porcelain in probably American, though it might be French. This form, with a bridge near the spout for holding back ice cubes, is also known as a “sweetheart pitcher,” because of the vaguely heart-shaped wreath on either side. Here is a Washington- and Masonic-themed spoon which is marked STERLING F.A. WHELAN. Both sides of the bowl, the hilt, and the tip are gold washed. It has a lot of Masonic symbolism incorporated into the design. The dates on the spoon handle (1732-1799) are the birth and death dates for George Washington, who was a Mason. An uncommon set of six nut picks, the mother of pearl handles attached to the silverplate picks with sterling silver ferules. The ferules are decorated with ropetwist borders flanking an ornate acanthus leaf pattern. In the Victorian era, fresh nuts would have been served alongside and cheese and fruit as a dessert course. A set of three pink luster English porcelain tea saucers. The steeply angled sides are decorated with underglaze pink luster decoration as well as green and iron red flowers. In the first part of the 19th century, hot tea was poured from the cup into the saucer to cool before being drunk directly from the saucer. The bottoms are marked with decorators’ numbers.

Two beautiful Bohemian glass decanters - both cut, one with further etched enhancements. The cut one is 10 1/2 inches (27 cm) tall, 4 3/4 inches (12 cm) wide and 2 3/4 inches (7 cm) deep. It has some bottom scratches and a small amount of usage-cloudiness. The applied-handled one is 10 1/2 inches tall, 5 1/2 inches (14 cm) wide and 2 3/4 inches deep. A striking antique English porcelain coffee cup. Made at the Worcester factory during the Dr. Wall, or First Period, it is painted with the Pu Tai pattern in beautiful, bright enamels. It shows Pu-Tai, also known as the Laughing Buddha, seated, with two attendants. The cup has a slightly everted rim, a handle of the grooved loop type, and the interior border is gilded in addition to the iron red enamel.

A classic Sandwich glass hyacinth vase in a rich teal shade. The vase is entirely hand blown and shows the traces of hand marvering. The deeply concave base has a rough pontil and a basal ring showing the expected wear. Hyacinth vases, sometimes called tuplip vases or bulb vases, were used to force flowering bulbs for wintertime blooms indoors. A superb pair of bronze candlesticks from the Jockey Club de Paris. The candlesticks’ trefoil bases are decorated with riding equipment and tackle interspersed with the rosettes awarded to race winners. The edges of the bases are finished with borders that suggest horseshoes. Slender columns rise to a central element featuring three fully three-dimension horseheads capped by a spiraling ribbon engraved “Jockey Club”. Shields bearing coats of arms decorate the candle sockets.
