Antique flannel dog filled with grain or sawdust that makes him feel like a bean bag and allows him to stand nicely. He has big bead eyes and replaced floppy ears. The original ears must have been further back where you see a white patch. That patch is white flannel that hasn't gotten dirty. The 6-1/2" diameter bowl and 5-1/4" long spoon both have the high-relief floral repousse work this quality American silver firm was known for. A very fine berry or casserole spoon in John R. Wendt's "Medallion" pattern. The handle features an oval reserve centered with a medallion profile of the Greek goddess Pallas Athena. The elongated bowl is beautifully scalloped. The back of the medallion has a period monogram "A" and the stem is marked with the retailer's mark for Ball, Black & Co. and with "925" for sterling. Wendt did not use his own hallmark in this period.

A set of 4 Chinese Qing dynasty tea bowls and saucers. These antique porcelain blue and white 1-5/8" tall tea bowls or cups and 4-5/8" wide saucers date from 1736-1795. It is possible they are slightly older. This antique Chinese porcelain set has a man on a horse holding a small twig, followed by a servant carrying provisions. Offered is this beautiful French Pate de Verre glass figurine, made by Amalric/Almeric Walter, around 1920. The figurine was designed by Henri Berge. The figurine is 4 3/4 inches (12 cm) long and 2 3/4 inches (7 cm) tall at the chick's tail. It is in fine condition. It is signed, 'A Walter Nancy' and 'Berge SG' (see pictures). It is a genuine antique/vintage Walter piece and not a modern Romanian reproduction piece.

A beautiful Spode porcelain plate painted with a variety of motifs. The pattern number is not listed in any of the Spode pattern books, nor have I been able to find examples of the decoration. A reasonable assumption might be that this was produced as a "one-off" sample for a larger service that was not completed.

A very nice small-size silver plate wine taster in the classical style. The bottom features the typical convex bottom surrounded by concave "godrons" adn "cupules." intended to create high and low spots to better appreciate the color of the wine as light is reflected through it. The open shape also allows the bouquet to develop quickly so the wine can be tested easily. The snake handle is generally seen on tastevins from the region of Bourgogne. Inspired by Viking longboat with dragonhead stempost and tail sternpost, and rim comprising warrior’s shields. Stylized plant and geometric ornament. Well has radiating green guilloche enamel. Rare complete single bag (small saddlebag or large chanteh) from the Luri-Bakhtiyari tribes of West Persia, last quarter of the 19th Century. This rare weaving measures 19.5" by 17" and is in nearly mint condition, with full pile and complete piled closure system, tassels and original side finishes. All dyes are natural, including a great purple and apricot. Nice flatweave back with patterning in weft wrap technique typical of Luri/Bakhtiyari work.

A heavy Bristol green rummer, the stem with a nice grip, and a wine glass. Mouth blown and made around 1810, the rims softly rounded. The pontil mark of the wine glass removed by grinding, while it is still left on the rummer. Some little air bubbles, the rim of the wine glass with a mark from the tongs used to cut the bowl loose from the pontil. Height "5 ½ / 14 cm and "4 / 11 cm respectively. Condition: fine, except for a minimal scratch mark to the bowl of the rummer.

Jugendstil pewter dish of trefoil shape, the wedges between the leaves filled with softly modelled violets. The base with three minimal ball feet for the balance. German, c 1900, marked Rein Zinn 95 % (Pure Pewter 95 %) under a crown. Width "6 ¾ / 17.5 cm. Condition: fine, keeping its original oxidized decoration and patina, never polished.

Cream cup, a pot de creme with molded borders and cherry knob, soft paste / pâte tendre, creamy white, made c 1780 in Tournai, then France and now Belgium. Decoration of under-glaze blue flowers in the Ronda pattern. Ronda was the most popular of the Tournai patterns, produced all through the 19th century till 1891 when the manufactory was closed down. Under-glaze blue mark, swords and three little crosses for the second and third Tournai period. Height "3 ¼ / 8 cm. Condition: fine.

A lovely Victorian sterling silver sugar sifter in Whiting’s 1882 “Antique Lily Engraved” pattern. The simply-shaped handle is decorated with bright-cut engraving of foliage with a spray of lilies-of-the-valley cascading across the end. The bowl is matte gilt and pierced in a pleasant design that does not compete with the restrained decoration of the handle. Olympian sterling silver centerpiece bowl. Made by Tiffany & Co. in New York. Curved and tapering bowl on domed foot. At top a dense repousse frieze of love-making, harp-stumming nymphs, gods, and cherubs. Foot rim has rinceaux border. A beautiful piece in the celebrated Beaux-Arts pattern that was conceived by French designer F. Antoine Heller and debuted at the Exposition Universelle in Paris in 1878.
