Victorian brooch or pin, a bunch of fruit an d flowers made up of Gutta Percha. This dark brown material, a predecessor of bakelite - was first introduced in the great Crystal Palace exhibition in 1851 and was often used in mourning jewelry pieces after the death of Queen Victoria’s husband, Prince Albert, in 1861. Made from the sap of a Malayan tree. Width " 1 ½ / 4 cm. Condition: a leaf or two missing under the biggest fruit (cf. pics).

This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in Germany by Meissen around 1900. The saucer has a diameter of 4 ½” and the cup is 2” high with a diameter of 2 ¼”. Offered is this beautiful Bohemian Moser glass dish with tooled-rim. The dish is 6 inches (15 cm) wide. The dish is made on an aqua-to-clear glass blank. It has a polished pontil and is in very good condition. Though unsigned, it is guaranteed to have been made by Moser - according to Gary Baldwin, tooled rims of the type present on this dish, "to date, have only been found on Moser decorated glass" (reference: page 85 of his book, 'Moser Artistic Glass Edition Two').

This nice early cloth doll has one of the best ink and water color painted face that I have had. She has a nice round head, real hair and sweet little applied ears. She feels like she is stuffed with cotton and rags. Her brown socks continue up to her waist and they are sewn on but her legs and arms feel attached rather than continuous. She has on a wonderful age appropriate wool print dress. There are several big hole in it but it is a lined top so it isn't very obvious...

Three inch long day-night earrings with a lovely rococo design that incorporates foliate and shell motifs set with Persian turquoise and enlivened by the two-color 15K gold. The earrings have a secure hook on the back of the drop part of the earring, not typically seen on Georgian day-night earrings. This enables enabling them to easily be separated and worn with just the tops (for day), or both top and bottom (at night). The mechanism attaching the two pieces can be viewed in the photos.

A beautiful Art Nouveau panel-cut crystal vase, the surface completely etched in a swirling design of flowers resembling columbines. The etching is highlighted with soft gilt details that bring out the depth of the pattern. The rim of the vase is finished in a sawtooth pattern derived from the shapes of the engraved blossoms. This charming tea bowl is decorated with a Chinoiserie scene with three figures, one of them holding a bird. It dates from around 1775, and exemplifies the motifs that were so popular in that period. The interior has an iron-red border and sprig at the bottom of the bowl.

A beautiful and uncommon Bow porcelain coffee cup done in the famille verte style, loosely depicting flowers in green, red, and blue. A workman's mark is on the bottom.

The condition is superb, with bright clear colors, and with no chips, cracks, paint loss, or restoration. The cup height is 2 3/16" and a diameter of 2 1/8".

A very well molded pitcher with floral decoration on each side, molded foot, lip and handle. Across the front of the pitcher and on either side of the neck are hand painted flowers, very much in the Adam’s Rose” style. This form of molded pitcher closely resembles those in porcelain of J. and R. Riley of Burslem. The body is very white, but isn’t porcelain. 8 3/8 inches (21.5 cm) to the top of the handle and approx. 6 ½ inches (16.5 cm) across the handle.

Four 19th century faience plates, probably from the Les Islettes factory near Reims in Northern France. Three with lobed and one with straight border. All decorated with sprigs of flowers in the "gaudy" style, one with a flower basket. Diameter "8 ¾ - 9 / 22 - 23 cm Condition: rim frits and wear to one plate, the flower basket plate with a charming attempt made in the factory to conceal a glaze mist at the border (cf pics).

One of the best incised twist glasses you will find, superb in its simple elegance and craftsmanship. The hammered trumpet bowl leads into a stem with tight and beautifully fashioned twists. Conical foot with a rough, snapped pontil.

Wonderful color, tooling marks, and striations. No condition problems at all. Added to this is the unusual height of the glass, at 7 1/4". The bowl diameter is 2 1/2", and the foot diameter is 2 7/8".
