A finely painted and gilded "soft-paste" porcelain breakfast size Moustache Cup (right-handed) dedicated to a John P. Small in 1882, possibly a presentation piece. Condition: there are two old 1cm hairlines to the rim: no further damages and no restoration. 8cm (3.1 inches) high; 9cm (3.5 inches) diameter.

Art Nouveau red glass cologne bottle with engraved silver overlay. Made by Gorham in Providence, ca 1886. Globular with short neck and flat everted rim. Stopper globular. Tight and dense overlay with flower heads and rolling scrolls. Scalloped borders. Scrolled cartouche with interlaced script monogram. Glass red except stopper plug, which is clear. Fully marked including patent year 1886 and no. S682. Very good condition with deep patina.

Folk Art duck decoy, hand carved from wood with black round stopper for eye. The bird is painted black with white highlights and grey bill. Tail fins are carved in wood.

A wonderful sterling silver footed basket by Gorham. The edges are decorated in an ornate Victorian floral motif that is echoed on the handle. The scrolled feet are accented with a shell motif. The rounded sides of the basket have a superb pierced floral design that sets this basket apart from most others. The basket is of the very finest quality made by Gorham in the Edwardian era. A fine and uncommon toastmaster's baluster type glass featuring a deceptive waisted bucket bowl above a collar. The stem has a medial swelling knop and a basal knop. A wide foot with a rough snapped pontil gives this glass a wonderful stateliness. Great color, striations, and tool marks, with a real heft to the weight. Pretty French faience plate exuberantly decorated with vases of carnations, sprays of bluebells and colorful insects. The plate has a deep rim and the edges are finished in a nice curved pattern. The back of the plate is marked "Jardin" in underglaze blue.

Origin: France, early 19th century. Condition: no body cracks or chips; glaze wear along rim; normal glaze crackling. Size: 10-1/4" diameter.

French eggshell thin Porcelain hand painted Lady and Gentleman in Evening Dancing clothes, decorated on pure white Porcelain body Demitasse Cup & Saucer, Ca. 1920, 5 1/8" diameter and 7/8" high-saucer, 2 1/2" high and 3 1/4"wide with handle-cup, delicate twisted handle with little touch of gold, top rim have been touched up and gold rim is somewhat rubbed off in some area.

An antique Spode stone china covered bowl with transfer and hand painted designs in the Imari palette featuring floral motifs in the Chinese style. These wonderful early ceramic pieces are a treat to find, and often bear evidence of their 200 years of life, and this one is no different. The foot suffers 2 small chips which we have photographed, and the outside and underside have foxing as shown in the photographs...

An English early Victorian tole tray, black with gilt Neo Rococo border. Four reserves of exotic country buildings and elegant ladies in dresses and hairstyles from the years around 1840. Measures: " 16 /40,5 and " 13 ¼ / 34 cm. Condition: wear consistent with age (cf. pics).

A Spanish Brass Candlestick, circa 1700. Dimensions; 8.0" high x 5" square base. Weight, approximately 2 pounds. Very fine condition. Note, although not a pair, it may be used in conjunction with item 1849.

This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in Germany by Hutschenreuther in 1914. The saucer has a diameter of 4 1/4 inches. The cup is 1 7/8 inches tall with a diameter of 2 1/4 inches. The set has bands of deep, ruby red. Gilded medallions contain bunches of forget-me nots. Lacy gilding overlays the ruby red ground. The rims, handle and interior of the cup are heavily gilded. It has a brilliant, classic style. Condition: Excellent, without defects of any kind.

French Chippindale style Black Tole Tray with Enamel hand painted red and gold design of floral branches and vines, Ca. late 1800's, 14 1/2" x 11 1/2" wide, 5/8" high, the condition is like used 19th century wear and tear, no major damages.

An extremely fine baluster wine glass of beautiful proportions and lead composition. The flared bell bowl with an air tear in its base sits atop a stem with a medial flattened ball knop. Strong domed with rough, snapped pontil. Height 6 inches, bowl diameter 2 1/2 inches, foot diameter 3 inches. Superb condition.

A complexly decorated Chinese export plate in underglaze blue with overglaze red, orange and gilding depicting scrolling plants, two panels with a house under a flowering tree and an octagonal symbol in the center. Brown painted rim. There are trailing blue and red plants on the back and the foot is unglazed. Probably more toward the first quarter of the 18th century than the second quarter. 8 5/8 inches (22 cm) diameter.

Condition: No cracks, hairlines or repairs...

Lovely pair of silver plate candlesticks with beautiful corinthian columns and raised, stepped beading on the bottom. They are marked Walker & Hall, Sheffield and numbered 288888. They measure 10 1/2" tall x 4 1/2" wide at the bottom. They are in lovely condition.

Outstanding and rare Victorian sterling silver berry or casserole spoon by Gorham in the 1885 "Nightingale" pattern. The design uses bright-cut engraving to show a nightingale amid foliage singing to a crescent moon (just visible i the upper left side of the design). The bowl is equally well-designed with bright-cut engraving, ribbing, and swirled edges. The surface has its original matte finish that contrasts nicely with the engraving...

This is a Victorian sterling silver ladle made by The Whiting Co., circa 1900, the shaped oval bowl scalloped with a flared rim in a stylized petal pattern, rope twist handle flattened at the top for easy gripping, monogram on back DG, marker's mark, Sterling, 9 and 5, 7 1/4 " L, Excellent condition.

A Rare Green Ivory Handled Silver Apple Corer. Hallmarked in London, 1793, with the makers marks rubbed. Dimensions; 6,5" long. Engraved "1799". Excellent condition.

Antique true linen homespun table mat in a deep indigo blue and a natural unbleached white. The mat is 12" square and has just the slightest age discoloration in one corner, see photos. This is a wonderful very early example. Circa 1830

A lobed dinner plate with dentil gilt rim, the lip with a garland of flowers and leaves twined around a thick gold band and the center of the well with a large spray of roses surrounded by smaller sprays of flowers. Diameter 9 ½ inches (24 cm). The mark in underglaze blue on the back is the crossed torches of Locre, sometimes called La Courtille. The factory was active from 1773 to 1824...

A nicely made English wine glass featuring a conical bowl with "hammering" on the lower two thirds of the bowl. The stem is a double series opaque twist with a central lace twist and an outer pair of 6-ply spiral bands. Conical foot with rough snapped pontil. Good color, tooling marks, and striations.

The condition is excellent, with no chips, cracks, restoration or other problems. Height is 7", with a bowl diameter of 2 3/8" and a foot diameter of 2 7/8".

Wonderful 7-piece toleware spice set comprised of a handled tray, four spice tins, and two spice tins with sifter tops. Two of the regular tin lids are decorated with a red and yellow pomegranate design; one has a red, yellow and green strawberry design; and one has a red, yellow and green tulip and flower design. The sifter lids are simply decorated with yellow and red arcs. The sides of all the tins are decorated with a squiggly yellow line, as are the sides of the tray...

This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in England between 1800 and 1815. It has no mark from the manufacturer but it may have been made by Minton or Coalport. The saucer has a diameter of 5 1/2 inches and is 1 1/8 inches deep. The cup is 2 1/2 inches high. The shape of the cup is known as a bute shape. The porcelain has a slightly grayish tinge to it. It is not pure white like the bone china produced in later years in England...

Edwardian Classical sterling silver trinket box. Made by Howard & Co. in New York in 1901. Oval with straight sides and flat hinged cover. Leafing scrollwork applied to sides and cover top, which also has centrally mounted cherub’s head. Reeded rims with applied leaf border. Fully marked including maker’s stamp, year, and no. 1465. Phenomenal Art Nouveau crystal shallow bowl, the bottom with intaglio engraving of a large pansy blossom. The flowers petals are beautifully handpainted in shades of burgundy and then gilt. The flower is surrounded by translucent foliage. The scalloped rim of the bowl is gilt to coordinate with the floral decoration. This piece, with its single large flower, is much more assertive than the more common small reverse-carved pieces such nappies and short compotes. We're not certain if the bowl...
