This Zeh Scherzer & Co. vase depicts strawberries falling out of a basket. It is 8" tall. It is hallmarked Z.S. & Co / Bavaria. It is circa 1880.

An uncommon and fine Chaffers saucer and teabowl in the "Two Men on an Island" pattern. A workman's mark of three dots is on the reverse on the saucer.

This finely potted blue and while porcelain is in superb condition, with no chips, cracks, staining, or restoration. Any apparent paint losses in the photos are due to reflections. The saucer is 4 7/8" in diameter and the cup has a 2 3/4" diameter at the rim and is 1 1/2" tall.

Boxed set of six sterling silver fruit knives, with handles decorated in a detailed Art Nouveau floral pattern. The handles are marked "Sterling". The box is upholstered in dark green moire silk.

Origin: American, circa 1900. Condition: extremely minor wear to handles, plated blades are excellent. Size: 7-1/4" long.

A pair of Victorian vaseline opalescent glass epergne bowls. This fine pair of blown molded bowls date to the 1880s. These 5" diameter bowls stand 2-3/4" high and their bases are 3" across (under the collar of pressed leaves). They are unmarked and they have polished bases; they are in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks, losses, damage or repairs other than a barely visible 1/16" shallow flake to a rib on the base of one bowl...

Very attractive Iron lock, likely South-German, 16th.-17th. century.

The lock finely decorated with bird wings inside a heart shaped.

Size: 18,8 cm. long.

Condition: Choice for the early type and a lovely dark grey and brown iron patina.

The Madonna della seggiola or Madonna della sedia is a Madonna painting by the Italian renaissance artist Raphael, dating to c. 1513-1514 and housed in the Palazzo Pitti collection in Florence. It depicts Mary embracing the child Christ, while the young John the Baptist devoutly watches. The bronzed pewter plaque is earlier then other available those have a simple border as well an a title cast on the back. We date this example to late 18th c Italy...

A very rare and attractive bronze skillet pan, European, likey Flemish or german, c. 1600-1650!

Very large bronze skillet or pan, dating to the late renaissance period in the fine gothic style. A round hollow handle to take a wooden pole. Legs shortened at time of use to make it suitable for a stove, instead of open fire.

The skillet was cast in the same alloy as the bronze medical mortars of the period, a sort of high tim content bronze or bell metal...

Teaspoon or dessert spoon, the handle with a shield crest, the bowl gilt. Owl mark and W for Weidlich Sterling Spoon Co. and 41 for this pattern, produced c 1920. Length "5 ½ / 14 cm. Condition: fine.

Beautiful bronze and ivory sculptured figure depicting a young woman wearing a period dress with hat. One of her arms supports a parasol. The angled stance makes for a dynamic sculpture. Possibly Romanian.
The piece rests on an oval onyx pedestal.

Edwardian sterling silver and cut-glass decanter. Made by William Aitken in Birmingham in 1902. Ovoid glass bowl. On sides plain flutes alternating with diaper flutes; shoulder has shaped facets. Straight neck with sterling silver collar and hinged domed cover with twisted finial and v-spout; bracket handle. Fully marked. Very good condition.

This porcelain plate was produced in the U.S.A. by Lenox between 1894 and 1906. The plate has a diameter of 9 inches. It was commissioned for the retailer Bailey, Banks & Biddle of Philadelphia. The plate is artist signed W.H. Mosley who was a prominent painter at Lenox. The plate has a soft cream colored ground. The center is hand painted in subtle colors in a rather “Impressionistic” manner. The birds are identified as “Snipe” found in marsh lands...

Creamware plate, lobed and moulded, with pierced border of flower heads. Probably made in Staffordshire around 1780. Diameter "8 1/3 / 21 cm. Condition: a few glaze flaws, caused in the fabrication process.

Large old Chinese rosewood stand on 5 small feet. Well constructed, it is very sturdy and will hold a lot of weight. There appears to be a repair on the inner bottom, but when we tried to move the piece in question, it would not budge. Therefore there are absolutely no condition issues with this stand. Measures 3.25" (8.9 cm) high, and about 8.5" (21.6 cm) diameter (see 2nd photo).

A very pretty early 20th century French silver tastevin in the style typical of Dijon in the Burgundy region of France. This style retains the usual convex base surrounded by a wreath of “perles”, but the gadrooning (“godrons”) along the side have been replaced with a decoration of very finely worked grape leaves and clusters of fruit. The handle, also in typical Burgundian style, represents two snakes with the heads of ducks grasping the forbidden apple between their beaks...

Elegant sterling silver sauce ladle by Baker-Manchester Co. The lobed bowl has matte gilding and the rare feature of a pouring spout. The reverse is marked with the company's hallmark.

Origin: America, circa 1898. Condition: near mint, no monogram. Size: 5-1/4" long.

A deep cobalt blue salt or sweetmeat, probably of German origin. The bowl has a silvered everted rim with silver leaf decoration and is above an inverted baluster stem. Rough pontil. No condition problems, and with a maximum diameter of 4" and a height of 3 1/2".

This stunning Victorian tomato glass basket by Boston & Sandwich Glass Company is made from two layers of cased glass, a tomato or orange-red color over yellow with an applied clear single twist thorn handle and 4 applied clear feet. An unusual feature is that top rim of the bowl folds over and is studded with large tomato hobnail bumps ending with a crimped edge which finishes with a narrow clear band. French Sevres porcelain urn-form vase in a cobalt glaze, decorated with ornate ormolu mounts and a bronze cherub holding a dove. 19th century. The vase had once been converted into a lamp. Size: 24.25 inches ht. x 12.5 inches wide x 9 inches deep. Very nice condition, no chips or cracks or breaks.

English Victorian buckle ring in 9K and a sterling silver buckle, c1890. The contrast of the two metals is sophisticated and smart looking. The 9K band has an interesting texture, perhaps imitating shagreen. Buckle imagery was used in the Victorian and Edwardian eras to symbolize fidelity and eternal love.Suitable for a man or woman. The ring is a size 11 3/4.

A finely decorated octagonal jar with lid, made for carrying fat for musket bullits, late 17th. cent.

A rare box fully inscribed with fine caligraphy from the Coran and still with remnants of the original 300-400 years old content inside. The box has a lid and the hinges and lock are in intact workable condition. Silver is testing more than .800, though there's no silver marks.

A Georgian Scottish King's pattern sterling sauce ladle 1818. This George III period 6-1/8" sterling silver sauce ladle is fully hallmarked for Edinburgh, Scotland 1818. A rare and striking large porcelain bowl made by the William Reid manufactory. The scene, handpainted in an underglaze soft grayish-blue, depicts oriental buildings and foliage. The interior has a border of alternating flower heads and dots, and the bottom has a workman's mark. Both the large size of the bowl, and the scene itself, contribute to the rarity of this piece.

The bowl is 6 5/8" on diameter, and is 2 5/8" in height...

This perfume flask was produced in England by Coalport in the 1890s. It is unmarked but undoubtably Coalport. The flask has a hinged metal mount. It is 4 3/4 inches long, 2 1/8 inches wide and 1 1/2 inches deep. The body of the flask is divided into panels of raised turquoise beads or jewels and panels of ornate raised gilding. Condition: The metal mount is tarnished. There is a bit of wear to gilding. It is in original condition and excellent for its age.

Antique, 19th century, Caucasian Armenian Silver filigree belt composed of an undulating lobed form buckle with four loops at the bottom. Black velvet fabric strap applied with 14 recurved panels and affix with clasp for closure. A square Chinese cloisonne enamel gau box with four arched apertures and gold gilt strap loops for personal carrying. Richly decorated on a yellow ground with designs of formal lotus and foliage, the top side panel has a dark blue fylfot. The back panel, with the large red Shou-type character, slides up to open. Made for the Tibetan market, this dates early to mid 19th century, but could possibly be late 18th. Measures 3.35 inches high, 3" across, 1" deep.

A wonderful and special Worcester Barr Flight Barr campana vase with snake handles, beautifully painted with a scene marked on the base as "Ruins of Bayham Abbey Church." The reverse of the scene with a salmon ground and having detailed urn and foliage gilding. The rim of the body proper and the top of the supporting column with faux pearls. The bottom also inscribed with "Barr Flight & Barr Worcester Manufac' to Their Majesties."

An early Worcester patty pan with everted rim, carefully painted in blue with the "Bare Tree and Speared Bird" pattern.
