A hand thrown and painted hard paste porcelain punch bowl decorated on the outside with four bunches of roses and four groups of buds of roses around the outside under a wavy orange border on a tall foot. The inside edge is a band of black and orange hexagons in a Chinese manner under a gilt rim. In the bottom of the bowl is another bunch of roses. Beautiful jasperware wall plaque of a winged lady with a shephard's staff entitled "Pastorale" and signed Stephan Finding and dated 1886. It has very high relief, and the detail is exquisite. A large (15 5/8 inch diameter) tile of birds and flowers enclosed within a blue border inside black lines. The tile has the usual thick transparent crackled glaze, muted colors and off-white tone. 15 5/8 inches (38 cm) diameter.

Condition: no cracks, hairlines or repairs. Some very small chips on the edge, the biggest is under the glaze so it must have happened before firing...

This is a charming example of a Champion's Bristol coffee cup, of fluted form, decorated with swags of flowers and leaves. Marked on the bottom with a blue "X" and "17" painter's number. Certainly the marks add to the value of this as opposed to it being just an attributed example.

A nice Chamberlain Worcester porcelain dish of gadrooned and gilded edge form, the ground color in a deep apple green, and the center featuring a bouquet of various flowers. Marked on the reverse with "Chamberlain Worcester" in red.

The overall length is 13 1/2" with a width of 9 1/2". Condition is excellent, with no chips, cracks, or restoration. As is not uncommon in this period, there is overall faint craquelure.

In referring to certain types of pottery, "Leeds" and "featheredge" are both common misnomers. People think of certain types of Staffordshire pottery as being Leeds while in actuality only a small portion was made by that factory.

Further, to be completely accurate, this platter is really what is known as "shell-edge", as opposed to featheredge. It is pearlware, made around 1810, and is an extremely large 17 3/4" by 13 1/4" in size...

A Sevres salad bowl with lobed and slightly ruffled edge in the “feuille de choux” pattern decorated with sprigs of flowers in the bowl and the outside with the raised pattern outlined in blue and gilt. The interlaced “L”s enclose the letter “K” for the date 1763. The four dots in an angled square are the painter’s mark. The inside of the foot rim has the hole from firing.
