These 3 plates were produced in France at a Paris Porcelain manufacturer in the early to mid 19th century. They are unmarked. The plates measure 8 5/8 inches in diameter. The plates have stilt markings on the back, evidence of their early production. Each plate is expertly hand painted realistically with bunches of flowers. The pansies are vivid and perky looking. The lilacs are so real you can almost smell them. The rose is splendid, opening with its myriad petals...

Very nice Staffordshire transferware plate in the “Lion” pattern from the “Quadruped” series by Hall. The plate is very finely decorated in underglaze blue with four reserves depicting zebras, goats, deer and horses, surrounding a central reserve depicting a lion. Unmarked.

Origin: England, 1820-30. Condition: excellent, no chips or cracks, light discoloration on back (easily removed). Size: 10” diameter.

These 6 porcelain demitasse cups and saucer were produced in Germany by the Royal Berlin Porcelain Manufactory in 1918. The saucers have a diameter of 4 1/2 inches and the cups are 1 5/8 inches high. The clean lines of the cup and saucer accentuate the fine quality porcelain. Each one is individually hand painted with vividly colored flowers. There is gold trim on the rims and handles. This fine and vintage Chinese 7" bottle or bulb shaped vase is in the Famille Rose palette and it features lots of gold clobbering, invariably applied later in Europe. A low covered pot with jug ear handles of tin glazed earthenware with underglaze blue decoration on either side and on the top depicting a house near water. These pots were used for soft cheese, sort of like cottage cheese if I understand correctly. The top is loose fitting but the raised lip of the pot fits into a channel in the top. 4 ¼ inches tall by 8 inches across handles. (10 x 20 cm).

Condition: Minor wear to the bottom...

A pair of elaborate porcelain vases with large leaves in turquoise and gilt opening from a narrow base which rests on four wide feet. The base and feet encrusted with vegetation and occasional flowers which also support a large rising stem on either side with roses on one side and blue, orange garden flowers and possibly small lilies on the other side. Hard to imagine putting flowers that wouldn’t clash into these vases...
