A spectacular and rare 18th century Chelsea porcelain teabowl and saucer, each piece very finely and thinly potted and fulsomely painted with exotic birds and insects in landscapes, with a thin reddish-brown edge to the rims. An oval fluted French faience dish with an oval well in the center decorated with polychrome flowers and insects and a purple rim. Painted on the back inside the foot, “No: 4.” The mark and the decoration are typical of Strasburg circa 1740. The well in the center indicates that the dish was probably the undertray for a small tureen. It is 9 x 7 x 1/3/4 inches (23 18 x 4.5 cm)

A creamware mug, probably Liverpool, with a black transfer printed scene of a farm cottage with gate and outside the fence two men standing in front of a loaded one-horse cart. The oval transfer surrounded by foliage. Though much creamware was earlier it remained popular into the nineteenth century. 3 ¾ inches tall and 4 3/8 inches across the handle.

Condition: no cracks, hairlines or repairs. Fairly substantial chip that is mostly on the inside of the foot and another minor one on the foot...

A beautiful example of a "Warren Hastings" type Chelsea porcelain plate, molded with a rococo style border reserved with three scroll-edged panels painted with landscapes including a lake, distant towers, woods and figures. There are mixed flower sprays, smaller sprigs and a butterfly in the center, with the rim picked out with a brownish red line. Red anchor mark and stilt marks on the reverse. Painted in a lovely soft palette.

A striking antique English porcelain coffee cup. Made at the Worcester factory during the Dr. Wall, or First Period, it is painted with the Pu Tai pattern in beautiful, bright enamels. It shows Pu-Tai, also known as the Laughing Buddha, seated, with two attendants. The cup has a slightly everted rim, a handle of the grooved loop type, and the interior border is gilded in addition to the iron red enamel.

The cup is 2 3/8" tall, with a top diameter of 2 1/8"...

A First Period Dr. Wall Worcester teabowl, of octagonal form, with a slightly everted rim, printed in outline and delicately hand coloured with the "Red Bull" pattern, the borders with half flowerheads alternating with green diaper panels. This is the rare early version of this pattern when Worcester first started using printed patterns. The pattern is based on a Chinese famille rose design from the Yongzheng period and appears circa 1754-56...

A beautifully painted William Reid coffee cup with a large floral group and several smaller ones. Loop handle. The paste and glaze combination gives this cup a very distinct greenish gray appearance, not seen in other factories. It is difficult to capture the color properly in photos, but the first one shown in this listing comes closest to the actual color.

This piece is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, or restoration. It is 2 3/8" tall, with a diameter of 2 1/16" at the top.

A rare Worcester coffee cup with a slightly flaring rim, a grooved loop handle, and incurving toward the base. Painted in the famille verte palette and displaying chrysanthemums growing from a large triangular rock in a landscape which also features other flowers. Rare matching set of 8 Bengal Tiger pattern porcelain plates. English, late 18th century. Diameter, 9 3/8 inches. Good condition.

Hand painted in dark underglaze blue with a serrated rim this large bowl is soft paste porcelain. The decoration of a Chinese arrangement of flowers and twining plants is typical of Tournai. Height 4.5 inches (11 cm) and 11 inches (28 cm) diameter. Late 18th century.

Condition: no chips, cracks or repairs. Some scratches to the interior of the bowl and small flaw in the body of the bowl.

This style of decoration was popular at the time and still looks excellent today.

A creamware mug with a black transfer depicting two men walking across a bridge over a stream that pours into a peaceful river with a sailboat and boat with freight steered by a man in the stern. In the distance people on a point of land and in the far distance, beyond bends in the river, the top of an obelisk shows against the horizon. The oval transfer appears as if it was slightly too tall for the mug, being cut off at the bottom. It is otherwise framed with a laurel leaf surround. 3 5/8 inch...
