Parian group of a baby being roused by a puppy. Modelled c 1890 by Rowland James Morris (1842 – 1898), engraver and sculptor. R J Morris was born in Staffordshire and is known to have worked as a modeller to more than one porcelain manufacturer. He became especially well known for the Dainty White service and for Parian groups with children and dogs, one of them the immensely popular “Can’t you talk?” His models were all sold to Shelley & Wileman in 1896...

Pair English Worcester Porcelain Figures playing music, produced before 1900, 8 1/2" high, 4" round at the base, ivory color porcelain with gilding applied as accents with beautiful faces, details are very finely done. Old Crown and Worcester marks in green and also imprinted same crown mark with impressed numbers on the bottom. Old restorations are done on lady's finger and man's neck and tip of banjo.

An Ironstone tea or tobacco leaf teapot and 8 petit four plates 1860s. A matching English ironstone 8-3/8" tall teapot and eight 4-5/8" petit four plates, all with a tea or tobacco leaf variant in gold with gold trim. The teapot has some relief design on the feet and near the top, and the petit four plates have twelve sides...

A pair of octagonal dessert plates by Copeland, the edges dented and gilt. Japanised, “Aesthetic” decoration of brambles or blackberries, transfer printed and hand painted with some gilt over part of the withered leaves and berries. Diameter "9/ 22.8 cm. The back with the impressed curved mark used by Copeland from 1860 to 1880, and N80, probably for November 1880. Condition: fine.

This porcelain chamber stick was produced in the early 19th century. It is unmarked but may have been produced by Coalport. It is 7 inches long, 4 1/2 inches wide and 3 inches tall. The fine hard paste porcelain is molded in rococo style and there are three paw feet supporting it. The ground is deep cobalt blue with two reserves. Colorful exotic birds fill these spaces, similar to Chelsea Derby decorations. Gilding of high quality surrounds the two reserves...

This is a Victorian Staffordshire-style spill vase, of biscuit porcelain shaded to pale green, spill vases were placed on a fireplace mantle to hold spills---the small wood or paper splinters used to obtain light from a fire; modeled as 3 knarled trees joined by leafy branches; surface cracks; 6" high.

This porcelain plate was produced in England by Mintons in 1893. There is an impressed date cipher indicating this year. The plate is signed by the renowned artist Antonin Boullimier. It is #7 in a series of 12 plates. It measures 9 1/4 inches. The delicate bone china has an unusual reticulated border. The center the plate has a hand painted scene of a GrecoRoman young woman with a goldfish bowl. She is pouring water into the bowl for the fish...

A delightful and very rare Staffordshire ironstone puzzle jug by Elsmore & Forster. The sides are decorated with colorful scenes of a cockfight below the lip, while the sides feature large images of the famed circus clown “Cashmore”. The foot, rim and handle are highlighted with red stripes. The interior has a hidden siphon system that causes the contents to spill when the jug is tipped, unless the pourer covers the small air hole on the inside of the handle...

Measuring 2.75 inches high x 2.75 inches in diameter, this very sweet, child's, Copper Lustre mug or cup was produced in 19th century England.

Beautiful "Copper Lustre" paint accents a central yellow band with copper colored, feather detailing. Interior rim is painted in a pink lustre band.

Condition is quite fine with no damage or repair...

Banded mochaware bowl in blue and brown. Very nicely formed, with a crisply shaped foot rim. The rim has one 1" hairline, and there is some discoloration to the interior (note that the discoloration visible near the rim is actually very thick bluish glaze, and not staining), but otherwise the bowl is in very good condition. 6-3/8" diam; 3-1/8" high.

This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in England by Brown, Westhead & Moore around 1875. It is not marked but we found the shape in “A Compendium of British Cups” by Berthoud. The saucer measures 5 ¼ inches and the cup is 2 ¾ inches high. The set has wonderful celeste blue enamel coloring. There are bands of tiny hand painted flowers accenting the rims. Gilded accents and gold trim on rims and handles add to the design. CONDITION: Excellent

This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in England by Davenport between 1850 and 1870. The mark is impressed on the bottom of the saucer. The saucer is 4 7/8 inches in diameter. The cup is 1 3/4 inches tall with a diameter of 3 inches. It is made of fine bone china. The decoration is inspired by the Asian Imari pattern. The design is hand painted with rust red, cobalt blue and abundant shiny gilding. The cup features three little ball feet...

Two Gaudy Welsh ironstone pitchers by Allentons with gold gilt accents on the dark royal blue. Both are in excellent condition. They measures 5.75 inches and 5 inches high. Can be sold separately. Large $185, small $165.

Very good Staffordshire figural group portraying a young man and woman in a garden. He holds a floral wreath while she holds a potted rosebush. The decorative painting is very nice, especially the facial details.

English Staffordshire Porcelain Cottage, 5" high, 4 1/2" wide on the base, with bay windows and roof above the door, attic has room with windows, very charming piece, no marks on the bottom. There are two(2) chips 1/8" to 1/4" wide around the chimney .

A thinly potted eggshell porcelain cup and two saucers. Enameled decoration of scrolls, Phoenix birds and temples in soft pastel shades...

A mulberry transfer English Staffordshire plate in the Athens pattern by William Adams & Sons made c. 1850. The inking is crisp and sharp, even on the backside as evidenced by the clear registry mark. The shape has 14 edges. Adams was one of the longest lived potters in England, operating as late as the 1990s.
