A slightly lobed semi-eggshell porcelain saucer plate, decorated with auspicious finger lemons surrounded by scattered flowers within a spearhead border, all in iron red and gilt. China, Yongzheng period c 1730. Diameter 4 ½ " / 11.5 cm. Condition: repair to the rim (c.f. pics).

An Oude Loosdrecht porcelain soup plate with an off-center bouquet in the bowl, scattered flowers and a molded lip picked out in blue. The gilt rim is slightly shaped. Marked on the bottom in underglaze blue with the initials M.O.L. and incised with numbers, letters and a star. 9 ½ inches (24 cm) diameter.

Condition: A fairly substantial chip to the rim on one side and a small under the rim chip on the other. Stack wear, especially around the border between the lip and the bowl...

An Oude Loosdrecht plate with a modest bouquet of hand painted flowers in the center of the well, sprigs of flowers here and there, a molded lip with the molding picked out in blue and a gilt edge. Marked on the bottom with the initials M.O.L. with a star and incised with a star, letters and numbers. 9 ¾ inches (24.8 cm) diameter.

Condition: the most serious damage is a visible chip on the rim. There is also a tiny one below the rim...

A scarce little blue and white faiance jug (redware), likely Dutch, 17th. century.

Size: 11,2 cm. tall.

Condition: Choice for the early type, handle possibly reattached, some very thin hairline visible under a glass.

Provenance: The Estate of Carl-Johan Hummeltoft (1958-2020), Birkerød, Denmark. Carl-Johan was a vivid collector and among other areas, he held an impressive collection of early European pottery and metal items.

This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in Germany by Ludwigsburg in 1770. The Ludwigsburg factory was formed in 1759 under royal patronage of Duke Carl Eugen and it became one of the leading European porcelain manufacturers between the years 1760 and 1775. The saucer has a diameter of 5 1/4 inches and is 1 1/4 inches deep. The cup is 2 1/4 inches high. The clays that were available in the area produced a beige rather than white color porcelain...

A Creamware Basket and Stand Of oval form, the rim pierced with diamonds and hearts. Scrolling pierced shell shaped handles. Probably Shorthouse L18thC. Length of stand 10 1/2″ (26.6 cm). Condition; very good, small glaze bruise to rim of basket. Some firing speckling to underside of stand.

A Kangxi period very large baluster- shaped jar and cover, decorated in blue and white with the body showing 36 panels each enclosing a composition of butterflies amongst leafy peony sprays. The borders also reflect a floral image whilst the cover repeats the themes of the panels. This impressive example is of monumental size 57cm (22 and 1/2 inches) high and boasts a vibrant and even blue colour and meticulous painting ...

Antique 17th century Spanish Hispano - Moresque earthenware, lusterware bowl with ears-shaped handles "escudilla," Spain Manises (Valencia).

The bowl's Interior is decorated in copper lustre with a geometric pattern and two cobalt blue rings on a beige ground. Irregularly shaped handles with barbed rims, painted with copper lustre vegetal motifs. Reverse adorned with scrolling motifs...

Two-handled celadon jarlet; the glaze extending halfway down the body and in a soft green shade. The exposed earthenware is a reddish hue. Two applied strap handles connect the jar's lip to the shoulders. 15th-16th century. Origin: Southeast Asia, possibly Thailand. Size: 2.5" tall. Condition: Excellent.

A Dutch Delft hand painted wall tile depicting a rabbit pushing off on its hind legs in motion to the left with its ears and tail high. The animal is surrounded by a circle of a wavy line with dots in the wave troughs. Flowers fill the corners. It is 5 1/8 inches (13 cm) square about ½ inch (1.2 cm) tall. The red clay sides are beveled so that the back is slightly smaller than the front...

A large gold lustre and blue on a cream ground Spanish first half of the 16th century charger, probably Valencia, Manises. Molded with a dome in the center and leaves around the rim with a hole for hanging pierced in the rim before firing. 16 ¾ inches (42.5 cm) diameter.

Condition: Broken and restuck with some fairly crude filling of a couple of lost bits. One serious rim chip and numerous glaze and minor chips on the edge. Some wear to the gold lustre...

A superb quality and very large pottery figure, dating to the Ming Dynasty, 1368-1644 AD.

He is placed on a rectangular podium and wears a fine robe in matching blue and turquoise glazes.

The unglazed areas have pigmented colors in red, black and white. Finely painted facial details.

The Vũng Tàu shipwreck is a shipwreck that was found in the South China Sea off the islands of Côn Đảo about 100 miles from Vũng Tàu, Vietnam in 1692. The wreck was of alorcha boat—a Chinese vessel with Portuguese influences that has been dated to about 1690.
