Condition: excellent. A tiny rough spot on the lip of the spout might be a tiny glaze chip or it could be a very small firing loss.

I think this form is one of the most pleasing for late 18th century teapots.

The overall length is 13 1/2" with a width of 9 1/2". Condition is excellent, with no chips, cracks, or restoration. As is not uncommon in this period, there is overall faint craquelure.

A First Period Dr. Wall Worcester teabowl, of octagonal form, with a slightly everted rim, printed in outline and delicately hand coloured with the "Red Bull" pattern, the borders with half flowerheads alternating with green diaper panels. The pattern is based on a Chinese famille rose design from the Yongzheng period and appears circa 1754-56.
