This is a wonderful collection of fine porcelain "biscuit" Monks. Made in Holland (The Netherlands) in the late 19 th. Century.
This set includes five porcelain "biscuit" figures:
Monk #1 seated at a table, 6" height.
Monk #2 standing with a pliers in the right hand, 6.75" height.
Monk #3 with toothache, seated on a red chair, 6.25" height.
Monk #4 crouching with bent knees, 5.25" height.
#5, a pair of Monks holding a cane, 4.75" height X 2.50" width.

A pair of 19thC Japanese Meiji blue and white porcelain covered bowls. This fine pair consists of the 4-3/4" diameter footed bowls and their 5-1/4" covers with a rimmed foot or receptacle on the top. The covers can be placed on the rim to act as side dishes to the bowls. The hand painted blue and white design includes dragons, panels and scenes and each has hand painted gold highlights...

A Large and Impressive Hand Painted Dutch Delft Vase. Eight reserves; four large ones of a bird and four lesser ones of a stag. Label on the base says "De Oude Moriaans Hoult (The Old Moors Head) Holland Delft (the mark) 1759". This refers to the potters mark, which was first used in 1759 (the Old Moors Head dates from 1648). Dimensions; 16" high, approximately 4.5 pounds in weight. Normal wear for Delft.

An early English 7-3/4" high large footed comport or tazza made by Wedgwood in 1878-9. This elegant Neoclassic design table serving piece measures 12-3/4" across the two handles and features fine hand painted gilding, a black transfer design (on top and underneath the plate) and relief molding to the handles, edge and foot...

German Meissen very large Green Ivy pattern Porcelain Soup tureen with two(2) handles and matching large knob on top of the cover, with matching fluted rim Under platter, Ca. early 1900's, Tureen-12 1/2" high include knob, 14 1/2" wide include two(2) handles, and under platter-2" high, 19" wide, 15" deep, good underglaze blue cross sword mark with numerous impressed numbers with small blue marks on the bottom. The condition is good and fine quality.

A Very Large and Impressive KPM (Königliche Porzellan Manufaktur, Berlin) Pitcher or Ewer; in Blue and White Bisque Relief. Composed of Allegorical Figures; a Cupid and a Man and Woman as Mermen, and the Sea God. Dimensions; 13" high x 8" wide and a weight of 6 lbs. With Blue Scepter Mark and the Red KPM and Globe Mark, circa 1880. In very fine condition.

A large copper lustre jug / pitcher, both sides transfer printed with Charity as a mother with children, having pity on yet another child. Sunderland, England c 1830, unmarked. Height "5 ½ / 13.5 cm. Condition: a firing crack visible at the base and a glaze bubble to the Charity image to one side (cf. pics). A smaller Sunderland jug with Hope is presented in another GC offer (cf. last pic).

This porcelain plate was produced in England by Mintons in the late 19th century. The date markings are obscured so it is not possible to specify the year. It is signed by the renowned artist, Antonin Boullimier, trained at the Sevres Porcelain Manufactory. The plate is 9 ½” in diameter. The blank is made of fine, white bone china with a reticulated border. The center of the plate has a hand painted scene of a sweet girl, sitting on a log, dangling her feet over a lily pond...

From our European Porcelain Collection, an important and historically significant Meissen armorial plate, ex-Sotheby's, from the Munchhaussen family dinner service gifted by Augustus III to Gerlach Adolf von Munchhaussen in 1745. The decoration is executed in puce with gilt highlights, painted in the "fabletier" style of mythical beasts set against a landscape of birds and insects, all set beneath the Munchhaussen family coat of arms with a foliate scroll border on the rim...

This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in Germany by the Franziska Hirsch Dresden Studio in the 1880s. The saucer measures 5 1/2 inches in diameter. The cup is 2 5/8 inches tall with a diameter of 2 1/2 inches. The porcelain is highly translucent. The cup features a delicate butterfly handle and pedestal base. Both pieces are beautifully hand painted with swags of tiny, delicate flowers. There are fine gilded accents and lacy gold trim. The butterfly is accented with gold...

A beautiful Dr. Wall First Period Worcester coffee cup and saucer in the Jabberwocky pattern, one of the most sought after polychrome patterns done by Worcester. From our European Porcelain Collection, a very fine Doccia (Italian) tin-glazed, hard paste porcelain teacup and saucer, late 18th century circa 1780-1790, probably Ginori factory, very well-painted with a bucolic landscape of what looks like a country estate executed in puce, with a rich baroque border of gilding against a dark cobalt blue ground. This is a truly splendid high quality set.

Size and Condition: Saucer 5 1/4 inches diameter, teacup 3 inches across, 2 7/8 inches tall...

Highly interesting and early stoneware tankard or Stein / Krug, probably Westerwald around 1580-1600 AD.

The renaissance tankard is moulded with a central frieze of six arcaded panels of courtly life, war, soldiers and a siege of a city...

A silver form porcelain teapot with the vented knop on the lid and the pattern number, “N 195” in red enamel on the base. This pattern is known as the “knitting wool” pattern. 5 ¾ (14.6 cm) inches tall, 9 3/8 inches (23.8 cm) across the handle and spout.

Condition: excellent. A tiny rough spot on the lip of the spout might be a tiny glaze chip or it could be a very small firing loss.

I think this form is one of the most pleasing for late 18th century teapots.

A vintage Victorian period porcelain pink lustre 5 piece condiment or cruet set depicting a playing pair of cherubs or children with the legend "A present from Rathdowney" (a town located in County Laois, Ireland). This 5-3/8" across set is 5-1/4" deep and stands 4-1/2" high with the lids and shaker insert.
