A pair of antique Dutch china wedding bowls circa 1865. This nice set of wedding bowls dates to 1865 and they were made to commemmorate the wedding of Dirk Hoogedorn to Agije Brink on April 30, 1865. These 4-3/8" diameter and 2-1/4" tall bowls we given to the guests as a remembrance of the wedding. They are finely hand-decorated with rich gilt lettering and decoration, and they are unmarked. Meissen blue and white cup and saucer. Decoration in the “Blue Fluted” pattern originally designed by Meissen c 1740, later to be used by other manufacturers, esp. Danish Royal Copenhagen. The slim handle, ribbed inside, shape of the sword marks and the mark 44 altogether suggest a date between 1818 and 1860 (cf. Graesse on Meissen, 110). Height of cup "2 ½/5,8 cm and diameter of saucer "5 ¼/14 cm. Condition: fine.

This set of 6 porcelain plates was produced in Germany by the Carl Thieme Dresden Factory in the 1890s. The plates measure 8 1/4 inches in diameter. They have a reticulated border measuring about 1 1/4 inches with tiny blue and gold raised rosettes. Vividly colored floral sprays and a ring of flowers decorated the centers of each plate. There are gilded accents and trim around the borders.
The little rosettes around the border make these plates special...

Four 19th century faience plates, probably from the Les Islettes factory near Reims in Northern France. Three with lobed and one with straight border. All decorated with sprigs of flowers in the "gaudy" style, one with a flower basket. Diameter "8 ¾ - 9 / 22 - 23 cm Condition: rim frits and wear to one plate, the flower basket plate with a charming attempt made in the factory to conceal a glaze mist at the border (cf pics).

A luscious bud vase in the Onion Bulb shape 645, enameled in mulberry and blue. The vase was designed in 1907 by Emma Kinkead. The underside is incised with the logo and name of Van Briggle and Colo Spgs for Colorado Springs. Very good condition with 3 very small glaze specks at the base which are noted in a picture. The vase dates to early 20th C.
Dimensions: 3.5" w, 3.25" d, 4.25" h.
The vase has very small glaze flakes near the base. Otherwise it is in very good condition.

A superb and vintage Art Nouveau 12-3/4" across Austro-Hungarian ceramic wall plaque depicting a lovely woman with an earring and flowers in her hair c1905. This terracotta plaque is probably by Ernst Wahliss, and it has an impressed flying dove stamp with a pattern number 1518. It also has a pencil notation 5620/23, which was typical. Some Wahliss items had a foil tag which often became lost. It has a brown border, a black ground and an ivory coloured face with brownish hair...

A Dutch delft tile from between 1625 and 1650 showing a snake’s head flower in the center enclosed in an oval of three blue lines. The single blossom is yellow and brown. The green leaves on a blue stem grow out of a yellow bulb on the ground. The oval with fleur-de-lis on the sides that correspond with the tile edges that are also decorated in blue with scroll work and vegetation (?). 5 inches (12.5 cm) square and slightly less than ½ inch (slightly more than 1 cm) thick. Beveled edge.
