Two lovely English trios with painted decoration of single roses. Wishbone or London handles, c 1820, probably New Hall. Numbers painted to base: 925 and 923. Height of cups "3/ 7,5 cm, diameter of saucers "5 ½/ 14 cm. Condition: a yellow tone to part of the handle of one cup (from fabrication), otherwise fine.

This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in Germany at the Royal Berlin Porcelain Manufactory between 1830 and 1840. The saucer is 4 1/4 inches long, 3 7/8 inches wide and the cup is 1 1/2 inches high. The set is made in the quatrefoil shape or 4 sides. It has beautifully hand painted scenes of lovers in landscapes. The painting is expertly done and the colors are vivid. The rims are trimmed with elaborately gilded borders with tiny pink roses...

Heavy storage jar signed "ME", by Dave the Slave. His fingerprints are on the bottom of the jar and it measures 7" Height, and 5" in width. The Edgefield pottery expert believes that this jar was made by Dave the Slave. This is the shortest poem written by Dave the Slave.

This set of 12 porcelain plates was produced in France by Sevres at the Chateau Des Toulleries In 1844. The set has an under glaze mark and 2 over glaze marks containing the date. The plates measure 9 3/8 inches in diameter. The porcelain is very thin and translucent. They bear the monogram of King Louis Phillipe in gold. The cherubs in the centers and the reserves on the borders are all hand painted...

This porcelain sugar and creamer was produced in the United States by Ott & Brewer Belleek in the late 19th century. The sugar bowl is 4 inches across and 1 3/4 inches high. The creamer is 3 1/2 inches high. The porcelain is highly translucent. The interiors of each piece have a high glaze and the outside has a matte finish. It feels rather like satin. They are expertly hand painted by a factory decorator. The decoration is pink anemones with gilded foliage...

A white nunglazed porcelain bust of a young man on a blue and gilt socle with the name “VIALA†in gilt. With the beginning of the third Republic and the end of the possibility of the Monarchy returning, there was a revival of interest in the Revolution. Joseph Agricol Viala was a boy hero of 1793 with his name later inscribed on the Arc de Triomphe. On the back in a rectangle “Sevres†then “ER. 87. 1. (LV)â€. Socle with Sevres date in green 85 and Dore mark with 86...

This porcelain pot de crème with lid was produced by an unknown Paris porcelain manufacturer before 1850. It is 4 1/4 inches high with the lid. The porcelain is molded with panels and ornaments and a perky little finial on the lid. It has a pedestal base and a fancy handle. The piece is hand painted with pink and blue enamel florals. It is trimmed in blue. CONDITION: Excellent

A 11 ½ inch (29 cm) diameter deep blue and white delft charger depicting a hanging flower basket with an elaborate border of plants, flowers and radio wave blossoms. 18th century probably right around the middle.

Condition: Some wear in the center and numerous small losses around the edges.

A lovely Chinese export porcelain plate, the center decorated with a court scene depicting nobles welcoming a visitor bearing a staff and basket of fruit. The scene is very nicely enameled in the famille rose palette. The border is decorated in a trellis pattern in green enamels—a most unusual treatment for a Mandarin plate. The inner and outer borders are highlighted with gilding.

Origin: China, ca. 1850...

La Rochelle fayence plate from the late 18th century. Charmingly naïve decoration of a pheasant in a landscape, the border with a twig of pears (?). The back with spur marks near the rim, a sign of age. Diameter: "9 ¾/ 24.5 cm. Condition: fine, with decorative crackling of the glaze and some burst bubbles caused in firing.

A Chinese export plate from the first part of the 18th century, Yongzheng or early Qianlong. Decoration in Famille rose enamels of a large peony in bloom with an orange ribbon and some other scattered flowers, all surrounded by a thin diaper border in matte turquoise. The whole plate with a light greenish tint to the glaze. Brown-glazed rim. Diameter: / 22.8 cm. Condition: a few small spots of glaze wear to the well, otherwise fine.

A superb Derby porcelain coffee can displaying a wrecked ship and rescue efforts. This can was painted by George Robertson, whose depictions of ships and maritime scenes are among the most highly sought after and collected items of Derby porcelain. This particular scene, named on the bottom in blue script, is "A Shipwreck After a Storm."

The gilding on the cup, both in the interior leaf and berry border, and throughout the exterior of the can, is of the high quality that Derby was known for...

American stoneware 2 gallon ovoid jug by Cowden and Wilcox, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Circa 1865. Decorated with hand painted cobalt blue floral spray. Size: 14 in. ht. Very minor flake to top rim and a tight firing line to one side of top of handled (not damage but made during manufacturing) and fine tiny burst bubbles in cobalt glaze, also part of manufacturing process. This porcelain serving dish was produced in France by Theodore Haviland Limoges in the late 19th century. It measures 13 inches long and 6 3/4 inches wide. The porcelain has molded decoration and handles are built into the dish. We know that it is factory decorated since there is an impressed mark as well as a printed mark. The border is turquoise blue...

This is a beautiful Limoges cabinet plate, ca.1890, bearing the Limoges mark of the Coiffe porcelain factory as well as that of Guerin-Pouyat-Elite; featuring molded borders in pale blue within gilt rims and centered with a delicately handpainted spray of lilacs; condition: excellent, no chips, cracks, or crazing; gilt on rims is faded; measurement: 9 inches diam.

An underglaze blue hand painted ”Ronda” pattern soft paste porcelain plate with a deep molded rib border and barbed edge. Though unmarked the painted pattern and the distinctive molding are typical of Tournai. The diameter is 8 inches (20.32 cm).

Condition: No chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs. Some wear and a little associated discoloration.

Antique 17th century Tudor ceramic green glazed Wine Jug or Beer Pitcher of baluster form with a slightly averted rim and curved handle. CONDITION: in good condition considering its age and usage, with nice patina, except for chips on the rim. MEASUREMENTS: Height: 22.5 cm (8 7/8 in)

A hard to find purple transferware pitcher with central vignettes of farm life and genre scenes. The top and inside of pitcher have foliate decoration. The single piece handle is attached. Condition is very good with minor crazing and possible exterior crack for which we have shown 2 pictures. Very moderate age discoloration most noticeably on handle.
