Four serving dishes from the Poppelsdorf factory. Of segmented shape with gilt borders and hand painted decoration of fruit in lovely colours. The factory was working from 1888 to 1929, and the green printed mark of these dishes was in use 1875 to 1900. Width "7½/ 19,5 cm. Condition: some wear to one dish.

This is a Beautiful Pair of Porcelain Figural Candelabras. These candelabra depict a young lady and young man in a lovely garden scene. We believe these candelabras to date to around the late 1800's. These candelabras measure 21" tall and are in very good condition. I will be happy to send more photos.

A superb and early spread base mug example of the Worcester "Walk in the Garden" pattern. Although Branyan, in his book "Worcester Blue and White Porcelain 1751 - 1790" indicates the date range for this pattern to be 1755 to 1765, the lovely pale grayish-blue color of the decoration and the presence of a scratch cross mark on the base would place manufacture of this mug (or tankard) several years earlier, making this a truly exceptional piece...

This pair of porcelain vases was produced in England by Royal Worcester in 1879. Hand painted birds are done by the artist John Hopewell. The date letter indicates this year. They are 8 ¼ “ tall, 3” wide and 4 ¾” across the handles. Asian styled handles and feet are an inspiration of the aesthetic movement. I have the most wonderful little porcelain garden of place card holders I have ever seen. All the flowers are spring-summer blooms of different varieties. They were made by Carl Thieme, Potschappel Dresden c. 1900. They measure approximately 2 1/4 inches long and 2 inches high, although they may vary slightly from flower to flower. A well decorated Chinese Imari export plate with underglaze blue and overglaze red, orange and gold. The scene of flowering plants and a Chinese fence covers the face of the plate, from the rim on one side, across the center and onto the opposite rim. A nicely decorated flaring oval fruit or chestnut basket with openwork sides and handles at either end. The red stencil mark on the base of an “A” with a crown is that of the factory at the Rue Thiroux under Marie Antoinette’s protection. A pair of soft paste porcelain underglaze hand painted blue and white porcelain plates in the “La Mouche” pattern. These have a mark that I can’t identify, though they may well be a workman’s factory mark. The pattern of the fly buzzing a bush is distinctively from the Tournai factory. The pair of shallow soup plates are 9 1/8 inches (22.86 cm) diameter.

Condition: No chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs. Use and stacking wear on both sides of both soups.

This porcelain basket was produced in Germany by Nymphenburg in the late 19th century. It is marked with an under glaze cobalt blue crown and shield. The basket measures 9 1/4 inches across the handles, 6 1/2 inches wide and is 2 3/4 inches deep. It features entwined handles and delicate reticulation. The interior of the basket is beautifully hand painted with colorful flowers. All of the reticulation is outlined in gold inside and out. It is a sweet and fragile reminder of by-gone eras.
