Large vase by Roger Guerin, circa 1920, offered in excellent condition. This vase measures 7 1/4" in height and 7" at its widest. An impressive bulbous vase with horizontal striations on the bottom 2/3 of the vessel. It is signed "Guerin" and inscribed "M 30" for form and size. We currently have a number of vases by Roger Guerin in our inventory, as well as by other prominent artists of the Bouffioulx and Chatelet school. Reference: " Sel et Feu".

This covered jar was produced in Germany by Wolfsohn Dresden before 1890. It has a diameter of 3 1/2 inches and is 2 3/4 inches high. The jar is ornately painted in Meissen or Vienna style. There is a scene with a horse and rider hand painted on the lid, which is rather unusual subject matter for Dresden painting. This reserve is surrounded with intricate gilding. The sides of the jar have panels of rose colored fish scale painting alternating with fancy gilded panels...

This porcelain figural group was produced in Denmark in the late 19th century. It is 8 1/2 inches high and 6 1/2 inches wide. The fine hard paste porcelain is expertly modeled with great detail. The group portrays a Colonial couple in splendid attire. At first glance, you might think you were looking at a Meissen or Nymphenburg figural group. This porcelain plate was produced in Germany by Meissen before 1920. The diameter of the plate is 10 inches. The plate has a scalloped rim and a deep well. It has the most excellent flower painting. The flowers are bright and realistic. There is a cobalt blue border and fancy gold trim accenting it. The foot ring on the back of the plate has two very minor chips. This plate is first quality and has no other defects.

A wonderful and very desirable example of an 8-sided Lowestoft tea caddy, or canister. Painted with a flower bouquet and sprays beneath a border of flowerheads and foliate scrolls, the top having flowers and leaves.

The caddy is 3 1/2 inches tall and 3 inches in diameter, and is in superb condition, with no cracks, chips, or restoration. The only tiny blemish of any type is a 3/16" long glaze split at the top of the rim, clearly occurring during manufacture. Please note that what appear...

An Excellent Porcelain Armorial Inkstand or Deskset, made by Edme Samson et Cie, Paris, circa 1880. In a Rectangular Shape, with Two Inkwells, with Inserts. Dimensions; 10.25" wide x 7,75" deep x 3.5" high. In excellent shape, except for a slight chip on on of the inkwell tops (see picture). There is no mark on the underside, but it is definitely Samson, based on other items we have recently posted.
