A unusually fine example of a scrambled weight by the New England Glass Company. The weight includes latticinio twists and millefiore canes. The set-up includes a complex red, white and blue cane (visible through the concave bottom of the weight) formed of a heart silhouette surrounded by stars. The canes are tightly packed for a very nice appearance. The glass is quite clear.

Origin: America, circa 1870. Condition: very good, a few small surface nicks on the crown, no cracks...

Wonderful old Millville, NJ area glass paperweight wig stand or mantel ornament. The setup is pierced with five elongated icepick bubbles. Small bits of aventurine glass highlight the overall coloring of soft yellow and green. The top is heavily faceted with 33 printies of varying sizes. The cutting strikes me as being similar to the faceting seen on good New England Glass Company paperweights. The weight is raised on a baluster form pedestal and a foot...

A very good fruit bouquet paperweight by the New England Glass Company. Four pears alternate with cherries and foliage around a central pear. The lampwork fruit is particularly nice in this weight. The bouquet is presented against a spiraling double latticinio basket. The dome is high and offers nice magnification. The crystal is a bit sugary, as is typical of many NEGC weights. The concave base has a wide basal ring.

This stunning Victorian tomato glass basket by Boston & Sandwich Glass Company is made from two layers of cased glass, a tomato or orange-red color over yellow with an applied clear single twist thorn handle and 4 applied clear feet. An unusual feature is that top rim of the bowl folds over and is studded with large tomato hobnail bumps ending with a crimped edge which finishes with a narrow clear band. Pontil on bottom was sanded smooth...

Offered is this beautiful English cameo glass vase, made most likely by Thomas Webb & Sons around 1900 - look at the quality and details of the cameo work. The vase is 6 inches (15 cm) tall and 4 1/2 inches (11,5 cm) wide. Except for a minor rim-flake (see last picture) and a fabrication flaw where the cutting wheel slipped momentarily (see picture - probably Webb didn't sign the piece because of that fabrication anomaly), the vase is in very good condition. Polished pontil...

A nice Bohemian mercury tapered columnar-form mercury glass vase, the sides engraved through a bright red flashing to the silver. The pattern depicts a bird nesting among exotic flower and foliage. The design is accented with applied white lines. The silvering is not in as good condition as one would hope, but the very bright red flashing and the generous size more than makes up for it!

A beautiful and rare large iridescent glass tray with an applied scalloped handle, made by Loetz around 1900. The tray is in fine condition (there is a spurious 'LCT' mark on the bottom, and, it was factory-polished on the bottom so that the tray would sit flat on a table). Polished pontil. Unsigned, as expected. A similar tr...
