A fine example of an antique air twist glass. The pointed round funnel bowl is engraved with a fruiting vine, and raised on a multiple spiral air twist (MSAT) stem above a conical foot with a rough pontil.

The condition is excellent, with no chips, scratches, or restoration. Good color, striations, and tooling marks. The height is 6 1/8" with a bowl diameter of 2 3/8" and a foot diameter of 2 5/8".

This glass powder jar was produced in Bohemia by Moser in the late 19th century. It is 4 inches in diameter and 3 inches high. The hand blown glass is colored light blue. It is hand enameled with a lacy floral pattern on the lid. There are gilded panels on the top edge and bottom with colored enamel decoration. They are mounted with a gilded metal hinged frame. An elegant and very unusual wine glass with a double shoulder collar and a single basal collar. This form is accepted as being Scottish, rather than English, making it rarer. The funnel bowl has leaves and acorns engraved around the rim, the stem with a pair of spiral threads around a lace twists.

5 1/4 inches tall, bowl and foot diameter of 2 1/4 inches. Rough, snapped pontil. No damage, polishing, or restoration.

Beautiful set of jeweled glass finger-bowl and under-plate, made most likely by Moser. The bowl is 5 1/4 inches (13,5 cm) wide and 2 1/4 inches (6 cm) high. The under-plate is 5 3/4 inches (14 cm) wide and 3/4 inches (2 cm) high. Both are in fine condition (some expected usage scratches on under-plate). Unsigned, as expected.

An exceptional and rare cameo glass bride basket on quadruple silver plate stand. The rose colored cameo is striking and as fresh today as it was c. 1880 when it was first created. The glass was produced by Mt Washington while the silverplate was produced by Pairpoint and is so marked. The basket handle uses a branch and leaf motif with the latter being applied over the former. The basket well is reticulated, the base having swirls and leaves, all standing on 4 feet...

A fine Dutch dark green glass globular wine bottle from the second half of the 17th century, with the applied seal depicting the arms of Amsterdam. Of goodly size with a height of 8 3/8" and a diameter of approximately 5 1/2". The condition is excellent, with no chips, cracks, or restoration. Normal expected wear. It is very uncommon to find an early bottle with the seal totally intact.

This gem was the product of the Gundersen-Pairpoint Company in the mid 20th century, but ended up the collection of an avid glass addict. For serious collectors, we can offer limited but very interesting provenance for this and other goblets we are selling from a socially prominent philanthropist who settled in north Georgia and died in 1939. A rare and interesting anti Jacobite Irish glass with a funnel bowl and straight stem.

The bowl is engraved "Inny Cavalry", referring to a cavalry regiment in the British Army, first raised in 1689 (and later fighting against the Jacobites) in the town of Enniskillen as Sir Albert Cunningham's Regiment of Dragoons. One of the regiment's most notable battles was the Battle of the Boyne in July 1690. It became the 6th (Inniskilling) Regiment of Dragoons in 1751...

Offered is this wonderful, hand-painted, Victorian glass epergne. The epergne is 10 3/4 inches tall and 5 1/2 inches wide at its widest. The set is in very good condition (there is a fabrication flaw typical of hand-made glass items, a burst bubble - see last picture). Unsigned.

American amberina glass tumbler of extraordinary coloring. The slightly ribbed outer surface complements the thumbprint interior design, creating an interesting optical effect. The glass is heavy and free of defects. The bottom has a concave polished pontil. Origin: New England. Size: 3-5/16" tall. Condition: mint.

Offered is this beautiful, iridescent glass vase, made by Loetz around 1902 - the vase is in their 'Medici' (Phanomen Genre 2/484) decor. Beautiful colors - the base-glass is in their 'Bronce' (bronze) coloration. The vase has four dimples just below the top-rim. It is 4 1/2 inches (11,5 cm) tall and 3 1/8 inches (8 cm) wide at the shoulders. It is in fine condition (there is an insignificant tool-mark that occurred during fire-polishing the rim during fabrication - see fourth picture)...

A fine pan-topped square bucket bowl glass engraved with a fruiting vine having polished grapes, raised on a stem containing a multi-spiral air twist. Conical foot with polished pontil. Condition is excellent with no flaws. The apparent cloudiness in the bowl in the first photo is not present in real life. The height of the glass is 5 5/8", with a bowl diameter of 2 1/2" and a foot diameter of 2 3/4".

Three perfume bottles: a very small white opaline bottle with a gilt border, probably a sampler, a clear glass bottle with long neck and exquisite gilding and a white opaline bottle with a fan motif in blue. The smallest probably French, Second Empire, the two others late 19th century – the clear glass bottle probably Italian. No stoppers. Height "2 ¼ - 4 ½ / 5.5 – 11.3 cm. Condition: fine.

A beautiful, hand-painted, seven-piece water glass set, made most probably by the Bohemian glass-maker, Carl Hosch, a contemporary of Moser. The set is decorated with typical art nouveau floral motif. The set is in very good condition (there is one nick on one glass and a couple of pin-pricks on another). Polished pontil. The jug is 12 inches (30,5 cm) tall with a base width of 5 1/2 inches (14 cm). Each glass is 8 inches (20,3 cm) tall and has a top-diameter of 2 1/4 inches (5,7 cm).

An extremely rare and fine composite stem English Georgian marriage wine goblet with Dutch engraving.

The round funnel bowl features an oval cartouche with a pair of clasped hands, reaching out of clouds, in front of a blazing heart, all of this backed by rays of sunshine. The cartouche is surrounded by fulsomely engraved elaborate scrolls, foliage, and groups of flowers, all highlighted by superb polished details...

Outstanding early South Jersey glass paperweight enclosing a frit design of an eagle with an American flag and the words "The American Fire Philadelphia A.D. 1810." I'm not sure if this refers to a fire department or a fire insurance company...

A wonderful molded pedestal glass with an unusually large pointed round funnel bowl above a crisp 6 sided hollow Silesian stem; folded foot. 6 1/4" tall, 2 3/4" bowl diameter, 2.8" foot diameter

Although the glass is soda, the lead-like ring to it, combined with its extremely high overall quality strongly indicates a Tyneside (N. England) origin.

Handsome Bohemian hand blown amber glass Pinch Bottle Decanter, cut with engraved woodland scene including deer and birds. Height to top of stopper: 11". Condition is excellent.

Stunning set of four enameled cocktail glasses, almost certainly by Moser. The quality of the glass is superlative. The enameled rooster motif is magnified through the thick glass of the base, so that it looks quite large from inside the bowl (it might be a bit frightening after drinking an entire martini!) The bowls are lightly paneled and are edged in a thin line of gilding.

A beautiful, signed, ribbed, amethyst glass vase made by Victor Durand during the early part of the twentieth century. The vase is 7 7/8 inches tall and 7 3/4 inches wide. It is in fine condition. Polished pontil. Signed on the vase's bottom.

Fine Bohemian green-to-clear cut glass Biedermeier footed spa beaker ("spaglas") featuring five panels, each beautifully engraved with Classical symbols. Beakers of this sort originated in the great spa towns of Bohemia, where they were used to take the waters. Wealthy visitors often brought back a goblet as a souvenir of their restorative stay at the spa. A superb and extremely rare bucket bowl wine goblet with an everted lip. The stem is an 8 sided molded pedestal type, also known as a Silesian stem. What makes it particularly uncommon is that it is not straight, but is wrythen molded, with the additional rarity of diamond molding at the shoulders. Completing the beauty of this piece is the single collar below the bowl, and the double collar above the large foot, which has a rough snapped pontil and an extremely wide fold.

A pair of Napoleon III green-cased cut crystal perfume or cologne bottles by Cristalleries de Saint Louis. The bottle sides are cut in a panel design that is repeated in the tulip-stoppers with knopped stems. The undersides are finished in a diamond-cut pattern. The green is a brilliant dark emerald shade. The bottles are priced as a pair, but are available individually, if desired.

An absolutely wonderful and highly amusing engraved baluster glass, actually a goblet, of soda metal. The round funnel bowl, which has a beaded base, is engraved with two rabbits carrying a dog in a sedan chair. The reverse side of the bowl says, in Old German, "Man Mus Einen Seinen Gute & Thun", which roughly translates as "You have to do good things for your enemies." Clearly the rabbits are following that advice so as to not be chased or eaten by the dog.

An extremely fine NLB Newcastle light baluster wine glass with superb engraving of two clasped hands. Jacob Sang often used such a motif and the engraving is definitely of Sang quality, though, being unsigned, it is impossible to definitely attribute it to him. The pointed round funnel bowl sits atop a stem with a shoulder knop and a tear-filled medial inverted baluster knop. A basal knop is above the conical foot, which has a rough, snapped pontil.

Very nice Imperial Russian clear pressed glass tea box. The design features fans, strawberry diamonds and Russian cane motifs. The box is bound with silverplated mountings and a lock. The box was almost certainly made by the “OtyM.F. Atelier”. Locked tea boxes were a holdover from earlier days when tea was a precious commodity that had to be kept safe from marauding servants.
