Large Japanese Meiji silver chalice, ca 1890. Oval bowl with irregular rim on tall cylindrical shaft flowing into raised and scalloped foot. Spout hammered ground. Double walled. Applied iris and chrysanthemum flowers and blossoming branches. Wire stem with flower head and bud wrapped around shaft. Mount Fuji-form mono plate (vacant). No cliché left behind. A wonderful ceremonial vessel for the advanced export market. Japanese marks and “Kuhn & Komor / Sterling”...
A Georgian Silver Caster Set of Three, (Sugar, Pepper and Dry Mustard). Hallmarked in London by George Lambe, 1717/18. Dimensions; Sugar is 6.5" x 3" and weighs 7.7 Troy ounces. The Spice Casters are 5.5" x 2.25" each and weigh 10.9 Troy ounces total, one slightly heavier. Total weight is 18.6 T ounces. Excellent condition.
A footed Reed & Barton silver plated coffee pot circa 1897. This excellent quality American silver plated 9-5/8" tall coffee pot has a high embossed design which we believe is a pattern; these hollowware go-with pieces were issued to complement flatware patterns, although we haven't identified it.
