This pretty crystal clear Minerva aka Roman Medallion Early American Pattern Glass Milk Pitcher or Footed Creamer was made by The Boston Sandwich Glass Co., Sandwich, Mass, introduced in 1870. Outstanding sterling silver master salt spoon in a rococo pattern by Gorham. I have not been able to put a name to this assymetrical pattern, although it is very similar to "Marie Antoinette" and "Dresden". The bowl is parcel gilt. The reverse is marked with Gorham's old hallmark.

Chinese mother of pearl gaming counter, around 1800, custom-made with initials EM, probably for a lady who would also have used it as a thread winder for her embroidery silk. Length "2 ½/ 6.4 cm. Condition: fine.

Offered is a lovely pair of late 18th Century, just after Dr. Wall Period, Worcester blue and white porcelain teabowls, in the Argument pattern. One teabowl has a small chip to the interior rim and a corresponding even smaller nibble on the outside in the same spot. The other teabowl appears to be free of damage, and has a crisper design as well. These are quite lovely. Each is graced with a Worcester mark of a number hidden within a design to appear vaguely Chinese...

Victorian brooch or pin, a bunch of fruit an d flowers made up of Gutta Percha. This dark brown material, a predecessor of bakelite - was first introduced in the great Crystal Palace exhibition in 1851 and was often used in mourning jewelry pieces after the death of Queen Victoria’s husband, Prince Albert, in 1861. Made from the sap of a Malayan tree. Width " 1 ½ / 4 cm. Condition: a leaf or two missing under the biggest fruit (cf. pics).

A porcelain dinner plate decorated with a gilt rim, a gilt rope with flowers on the lip and floral sprays in the well. Marked in overglaze red enamel on the back “B/Potter/1” The mark is probably from around 1794 for the short lived partnership of Potter and Blancheron.

Condition: Two hairlines and some stacking wear

An enamel and gilt clasp, French, cloisonné decoration in the Empire revival style of the 1880’s. Width "2/ 5,5 cm. Condition: a few hardly visible chips to the enamel.

A small cloisonné enamel dish, unusual colors: rusty brown and turquoise green peony, the back with bamboo leafs and grapes in dark blue and black. Japanese, late 19th century. Diameter "3 ½/ 9.2 cm. Condition: enamel loss, esp. to the back (cf. pics).

Beautiful open salt, finely cut in diamond, fan and rib patterns. Probably made in Sweden c 1900 by Kosta or Reijmyre glassworks. Width "3/ 7.7 cm. Condition: fine.

A 19th century 5-1/2" twist shaft coin silver cruet ladle stamped H.A. HARRISON on the back of the flat handle. It has a CLAPP monogram on the handle, and it weighs 12.9 grams. This serving piece is in excellent condition with no dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs. A lobed dinner plate with a gilt rim, a gilt circle entwined with floral ropes on the lip and a worn monogram enclosed by a blue circle wrapped with a gilt wreath in the well. Diameter 9 1/8 inches (23 cm). Marked in underglaze blue on the back with the Seguin factory mark. The factory was active in Vincennes from roughly 1779 to 1788.

Condition: Enough wear to the enamel painting in the well to be distracting. There are internal and rim hairlines.

A nicely decorated lobed dinner plate with an off center bouquet of bright flowers in the well of the plate, two sprays of flowers on the lip and a reddish-purple rim. A little green bud near the rim covers a firing flaw. Diameter 9 7/8 inches (25 cm). Underglaze blue mark of crowned interlaced Cs.

Condition; very good and little wear. A short hairline crack from the rim goes about an inch into the plate.

Bright colors and interesting that no gilding was used.

A Furstenberg hard paste porcelain cup and saucer decorated with bands and sprigs of sepia and black flowers with gilt rims and highlights. Both pieces are marked with an underglaze script F and a number (9). The arched handle is typical of early 19th century tea wares. The style continued in the middle of the century, though this style of sepia decoration is more usual in the earlier part of the century...

A fine repousse sterling celluloid chatelaine comb circa 1890s with a celluloid comb. This 2-3/8 x 5/8" accessory has the original suspension loop, and it is stamped F&B 115 STERLING.
