Rider mounted on a terracotta dromedary. Traces of brick red, blue and dark brown pigments. The character seems dressed in European style. His round hat and waistcoat might indicate Spain? He is probably a warrior because what he is carrying on his back seems to be a shield...

Socket has straight sides and detachable bobeche. Faceted. Traditional form with showy gilding. Rare and important head of a bearded apostle, his face showing a strong and passionate expression. Polychrome wood. Eyes made of glass painted inside. Of Spanish origin, dating back to the 18th century, this head was found in the Philipines in 1978, together with the centurion head (see our stock number 1-1013 ). Height: 29 cm. An exceptional and rare Italian cut and voided velvet panel, probably Genovese, done in a dark green on a beige foundation. The motif features mythological animals and urns, all surrounded by foliate scrolls.

The condition is quite fine, even for a textile 250 years younger. The length is 64 1/2", with a width of 10 1/2".

A superb piece for display or use as an accent, and should appeal to collectors and decorators.

Turn-of-the-century American Art Nouveau green glass silver overlay perfume. Ovoid with flattened ball stopper. Semi-abstract flower heads with curvilinear stems overlapping 2 thin hoops. Neck spool form with silver rim collar and thick knop, and subtle faceting. Very good condition.

Victorian Classical sterling silver tray. Made by Tiffany & Co. in New York. Solid oval well with curved sides. Shoulder wide with chased flowers, scrolls, and open diaper in scrolled cartouches. German Classical silver beaker cup, 18th century. At top leafing scrollwork and scallop shells; at bottom twisted leaf-and dart border. Ornament chased and heightened with engraving. This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in Germany by the Ambrosius Lamm Dresden Studio in the 1880s. Both pieces are signed with the hand painted lamb marking. The saucer measures 5 5/8 inches in diameter. The cup is 2 1/2 inches tall with a diameter of 3 7/8 inches. The cup features a split branch handle and rococo pedestal base. The ground color is sky blue. The exterior of the cup has a hand painted panoramic scene. Children are playing in the woods...

Offered is this rare, large Gustav Stickley slag-glass lamp, made around 1906. The lamp is 30 inches tall. The shade is 15 1/4 inches wide (diagonal width: 22 inches) while the base is 9 inches wide. The burner is marked, 'B.H' (for Bradley and Hubbard).
